Some people have clothesline as finishers some had chokeslam some had powerbombs some had 450s some had superkicks some had uranagi but they are becoming transitional moves. So the cutter not being a match ender makes sense as its a normal move done by several wrestlers as is other moves listed above. For me match should've ended with 630. That was so beautifully executed. Sad to see it not being match ender.

The first time *The Pinnacle* attacked, each member picked who they wanted to feud with the past months. *The Inner Circle* sure as heck weren't backing down. With victories gone on each side, a FINAL SHOWDOWN has to happen at FULL GEAR or the last Dynamite in December, 2021.

Agreed. A lot of people have complained about this feud going too long but I think it has been nearly perfect. The amount of DIFFERENT matches we've had is insane. 2 faction wars, the big men matches, tag matches, 6 man tag matches, Sammy vs MJF, Sammy vs Spears, the labours of Jericho. And in the end who are the guys on top? The 2 guys that are the future of AEW, 3 if Wardlow is counted.

I mean the top rope cutter should have been protected along with the avalanche C4 and MJF second rope tombstone. These are all normal finishers performed off the top rope for more impact. I have no issues with it in say a PPV style main event but this wasn’t that.

To me, it's part of storytelling. Back in the 80's and 90's of All Japan Pro Wrestling, they'd have this reoccurring theme that whenever there is a rivalry between two wrestlers and they have fought each other on more than one occasion....they'd have these twl rivals kick out of their respective finishers due to growing a tolerance for it....or rather, they can prepare themselves to take it since they already took it so many times before. I think that's the case here, just good old fashion storytelling.

To be honest, Spears didn't have the greatest initial run in AEW; they tried positioning him as a top heel off the back of his debut feud with Cody, but they didn't quite handle him right, while Sammy has been booked like a top guy since his debut in the very first match on Dynamite. It just makes sense that Sammy would go over Spears, but by the same token giving Spears a solid feud with Sammy has also done Spears quite a lot of good as well. The very fact that you still care about Shawn Spears enough to be bummed that he lost is proof that he's doing OK now- apathy is the death of a wrestler's career, but I've seen several people call this Shawn Spears' best match since he came to AEW.
