I am from Nashik and totally agree that its for betterment of the Nashikars that this project is scrapped. If it would have been commenced then there was no possibility of full fledged Metro in the future. But its shameful for Nashik's politicians that more and more Nashik's ambitious projects has been scrapped such as Nashik-Pune railways, Pune Road Flyover, Trimbakeshwar corridor and now Metro Neo.

I really appreciate your efforts to make some voice over this issue. I am living in Nashik and not only the metro railway is the issue, state and central govt are constantly ignoring the true potential of Nashik. Mumbai Pune is flooding with MNC but Cities like Nashik Sambhajinagar didn't get any infra projects to boost the economy of these cities. All IT companies go to Pune All Financial Institutions Go to Mumbai then Gujrat, All FMCG companies Goes to Nagpur and all the young talented brains from Nashik Sambhaji Nagar, Vidarbha Marathwada Khandesh Move to these tier 1 cities. if the development is only centralised towards specific cities then the demography of the state will change soon. no one will live in tier 2 cities.

India needs RRTS of 3 lines of tripal cities like - Nasik pune mumbai. Varanasi-pragraj-azamagarh. Indore-ujjain-bhopal (if ujjain indore is close, make ujjain to khandawa) Chandigarh-ambala-panchkula-mohali-ropar triangle. Mysore-bangalore-coimbatore (extend to mangalore if possible). Kanpur-Lucknow-barabanki (include ayodhya if possible) Agra-gwalior-etawa. But India needs lot of funding, hope govt remove subsidies and invest more in capital expenditure 🥹

I was very excited on hearing the news of Metro Neo. Unfortunately it is not progressing as per plan. Akash sir, being the first Metro Neo could cause supply chain issues but would be an excellent alternative for Tier 3/4 cities where full fledged metro systems are not feasible. Their success could create the supply chains just like proposed Aluminium Vande Bharat trains. If not Metro Neo I hope we take Metro Lite being built in Prayagrag seriously and expand it rapidly. India urgently needs a major increase in public transport infrastructure to be developed.

The make cost for such project is50 percent cheaper than regular metro. Since it runs on road and not tracks station skipping could also be implemented like slow/fast locals in Mumbai which is not feasible for metro which needs 4 tracks. Also expansion of routes is convenient as well. Had this project been a success, it could have opened door for many small Indian cities to avail good public transport facilities
