What happens after I pass SQE2?
The very last stage, after you complete SQE2 is to produce a criminal record and conduct check. This is done through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This is organised by a company called Atlantic Data, on behalf of the SRA. They check not only the criminal record but also whether you have been bankrupt, and any county court judgements against you. They also have a process for verifying your identity, which is undertaken by an independent solicitor.
You will need to prove that you have done your degree, so you will need your degree certificate. You will also need to prove that you have done your qualifying work experience. So your two years of qualifying work experience will need to have been signed off by a solicitor. With this sign off, you can apply for admission as a solicitor. Once you have been admitted as a solicitor to the roll, then you can apply for a practising certificate. Before you start practising as a solicitor, you will need to have professional indemnity insurance in place as well.
The check needs to have been done in the last 3 months to be valid.
After passing SQE2, there are some final steps you need to complete to qualify. First, you need to record two years of QWE, signed off by an SRA registered solicitor. This can be completed before, during, or after taking the SQE assessments.
You will then be required to undertake a screening check, in the form of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. You will receive the results of your DBS check in the post.
Finally, you can apply for admission as a solicitor. You will need to provide multiple forms of ID, such as a passport, driving licence, or birth certificate. You may also be asked to provide certain exam certificates, like your degree certificate. For example if you have applied for an exemption to SQE1 because you have previously passed the LPC.
Once you have been admitted as a solicitor, you can apply for a practising certificate, which you are required to have to practise as a solicitor. You can then start to advise clients.

So what if you dont have 2 years work exsperience will they not sign you off

Yes, 2 years QWE is a must for becoming a solicitor in England and Wales.

@@futuresolicitor ahhh i unferstand niw ive read it also tell me does legal recuitment ,legal admin,count as legal work ezsperience as long as thier is a legal aspect dealing with area of law then thats fine?
