My DeLorean still has the plastic hose for the clutch. But I did just order a new clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, and braided stainless line two days ago.

Ahhh! I've been a fan of the DeLorean DMC-12 since I was a little kid and have been living in Las Vegas for the last 10 years and had no idea that this event occurred here! I'm so glad that this video came up as a suggestion while I was watching some KZbin and it had peak my interest what I would be in for if I purchased an old DeLorean, glad you mentioned the DeLorean weekend I will definitely be looking for it next year

I've been using this video as a to-do list for a year now. Everything on the early- and mid- lists is done now. I'll pro-actively do a few things on the long-term list, and run-to-failure on the non-critical items. Other well known DeLorean-specific items: --replace the plastic expansion tank with stainless. The plastic gets brittle and breaks. --replace the asbestos heat shield with stainless. --replace all the lights with LED's to reduce the current load and slow electrical corrosion. I've replaced 29 bulbs so far, and have more in the dash and console remaining. --get Dave McKeen's digital RPM relay. Look into getting his other digital replacement relays. www.deloreandirectory.com/maintenance/delorean-rpm-relay/ --replace fuses with gold-plated-blade fuses to stop aluminum blade oxidation that leads to electrical resistance that leads to heat build-up that leads to a melted fuse box --get DMC's louver stiffener bracket --get a car-window breaker. You never know. --keep an accessory belt (water pump & alternator) in the car in case yours fails on the road. Any mechanic can replace it (or you with the right wrenches,) but fewer will have the right belt on hand.

How do you remove the concentric drive gears? It seems very well wedged in with the metal scoring and I'm not having a lot of luck 😔
