When I was 7 years old, the smallest firecracker exploded in my hand. My hand was swollen and there were some bruises on hand. It took me almost 2 weeks to fully cure from it. It's over 20 years since then and I still remember like if it was yesterday. Today it wouldn't be a big deal I guess

slivk the real problem is that the human hand closes by wrapping itself around the firecracker, a not too powerful firecracker if detonated on an open palm will probably only cause some burns, but the same firecracker if detonated in a closed hand will literally blow your fingers off. is an important dynamic to take into consideration

A "funny" firecracker story for y'all: One day my dad bought me a firecracker at a supermarket in the Russian city of Rostov-na-Donu, I was about 10 y.o. And that thing looked like a black hand granade with a legit metal piece that you are supposed to pull out. Well. I asked the cashier about the instructions, cause apparently there was no sticker with any directions. The cashier told me to pull out the metal piece, direct the top of the granade into the sky and enjoy the colorful smoke coming out from it. And so I did. Apart from the fact, that the thing exploded in my hand leaving a black burnt circle of swollen skin on my palm and making all the car alarms go off on that parking lot. That's how I grew up 😂 Happy holidays from Russia 🇷🇺

Apparently a firecracker in your hand and a firecracker on your hand are two very different situations. Energy flows in the direction of least resistance, so if your hand is open, the explosion mostly affects the air around the hand. If your fist is closed around a firecracker, you will definitely mess your hand up, because the explosion has nowhere to go besides your flesh and bones.

From my personal experience: When I was a kid - 8 years old, a small firecracker exploded in my palm during new year's eve. Half of my palm was darkened, and some of the thinner skin areas were cracked. And of course, it bled a bit from the crack. Had to go to the emergency room, and nurses put ointment in the burned and cracked area and bandaged my hand. No stitches were required.

4:30 "made in Russia?" Where you read that? All the text was written in Polish and it clearly stated "made in China", also the gelatine he used was labeled "żelatyna" which is a Polish translation to gelatine. So I assume that the vid was recorded in Poland 🇵🇱 also (or ar least in place with easy access to Polish goods) but definitely not Russia.

I really start to wonder who is the real creator of this video. This channel is only 1 of 10 probably run by the same guy but in different languages (but there is no Polish version). He talks in English but with some foreign accent and he can't differ this symbols "ĄĘĆŹŁŻ" from this symbols "ДФВЙЬДБЯ". And I addit that Polish can be in fact very similar to Russian but only in how words sound and what they mean, but those languages looks VERY different. I wonder if the real mastermind of all those "Slivkishow" channels is in fact a Polish guy who is ashamed of his nationality and tries to pretend that his from USA or other wealthy county (I know some people who acts like that) even Slivki is so much similar to Polish word "Śliwki" (eng. Plums).

I suffered two firecracker accidents in my life. First one was a small, one shot deffective Corsair firecracker. I light it up and after one second i hear a boom, it exploded right between my fingers. It didn't cause any burns but it felt like i smacked my fingers with a hammer. It hurt for like 30 minutes, then i invented a trick when i hold a firecracker between my fingernails and let it explode above my head. You should use the smallest ones only, you can try it with 2 or 3 shot firecrackers but you need to hold them well, ore else it might slip from the first explosion and fall on you. Second time i was 16, or 17. My friends and i bought some big ones (we called them bombs) from the local firecracker dealer (he was making contraband with them from Ukraine), we had some fun, scared some dogs, blew a few under the ice and then i got to throw the last one from the bottom of the box. I wanted to put it under a tin can to see how far it can fly. In one hand i held the "bomb", in the other i held the can, and my friend was the one to light it up before i would quickly put it under the can and run away. My friend lit the fuse, the fuse burned very fast and just as i tried to lift the can up and put the "bomb" under it i saw a big flash. The "bomb's" tip just fell off and all that 1000° burning powder was launched on the hand i held the can with. You got no idea how much that hurt... it burned my skin so bad that blackened pieces of it were hanging out from my finger. But the worst thing didn't even happen yet... My parent's were at work and the closest medical clinic was about 12km away. I went home, washed my wound with some hydrogen peroxide and put a bandage on my left hand. I then went to the clinic together with my friends, on foot, taking a shortcut trough the forest, in winter, about half the distance mentioned above, for 2 hours. I never touched a firecracker since.
