Yikes! Good intentions but tread lightly with that.
What really gets me is why not just name foundations by numbers like Rihanna? That would be so much easier for the customer AND the company making the product. These names be getting too sketchy. I love NARS products but the shade names after different countries? They didn’t think that through sis...
@benj93806 жыл бұрын
Rikki Bergeron nah it’s harder when it’s numbers because when they extend shade ranges they need to change the numbers and shit. And I couldn’t care less what my foundation shade name is, and what wrong with nars naming their shades after countries
@nylo_arts6 жыл бұрын
@@benj9380 They don't need to change numbers, just add more. If you have a 320 and a 330, and add a color in between, then it's just a 325. It's not that hard lol. They just need to think ahead a little bit and go by 10 increments so there's room for 5 increments in the future.

I want to say , regardless of what your video is about or who it is supposed to target more , your personality always pulls me in. I can sit and watch an entire video about something that wouldn’t necessarily help me when it comes to my personal makeup and I would enjoy every second of it. You’re easy to watch and your personality is definitely one of your best qualities. The information I get from your videos and Nyma’s videos do help educate me when it comes to doing darker skin complexion women and I’d rather hear from someone that’s had experience than someone who uses previous makeup knowledge when they’ve only had lighter skin complexion clients. Keep doing what you’re doing because it’s great and very helpful and more people need to educated on makeup for darker complexions. Especially most makeup brands. You and Nyma deserve more recognition. Changing the world one step at a time. 💕😘 You’re beautiful and you know it. I love it. Keep doing you and disregard the disrespect anyone gives you. Anything that doesn’t benefit you as a person is irrelevant to you. Remember that.

Jackie! So I’m allergic to Salicylic Acid, which is in like everything. It’s not a common allergy, but hard to deal with since it’s in soooo many makeup products and goes by so many different names, as it is plant based, from willow bark. Revlon color stay has it in it and I cannot use it because it burns. What you described on your skin sounds like you may also be allergic to Salicylates. Try avoiding things that fall under these names: salicylic acid, willow bark, Salix Alba, benzyl salicylate. I’m also topically allergic to witch hazel, Rosemary, lavender, basically a lot of plants. Since so many makeups advertise as being “good for sensitive skin” but still are full of plant based ingredients a person could easily be allergic to it’s important to start figuring out which plants you are allergic to and checking ingredients for those plants and their derivatives. Often the ones advertises for sensitive skin are worse due to the “natural” fad filling them up with plants. Plants are not always better! If any cosmetic burns your skin you are allergic, take it off and discontinue use.

@@idahansson9365 I just meant that Almay has a history of ignoring ppl with a skin tone in the medium to deep dark range.

Okay idk why I don’t watch her more. Like her energy when she talks and her like genuine way of being funny with out wanting to offend or drag anyone else, like I personally like her more than the more recognized beauty influencers

The folks in the chocolate community DEFFLEE needed this video! Matter of fact we're gonna need influencers of EVERY chocolate shade to do this. Please and Thank You!

Imagine if there was a universal, approved standard of shades that MUST be included across the spectrum in order to be launched by companies. And you could walk up to the counter and get the same shade every time from any brand, and know the color will match you. You would just expect different finishes and textures...

good idea, but make up really isn't that important.

I actually just discovered that Clinique foundation this year from an Ulta sample. I really like it.Might be worth a look if they have your shade. I'm super pale and neutral and I found a winner in shade CN28.

Oh my god this video has me cracking up. And idk if it’s just me, but I could definitely see the grayness you were talking about from the Almay (especially in comparison to the maybelline you were wearing at the time) when I saw your lights reflecting off of your skin

It does. The only thing consistent between brands is their inconsistency. 😏

There are some inconsistencies, but less I would say. If pick up an “ivory” in most brands it will probably work for me.
