I came across your video about moving from Toronto to Calgary three years ago and I've been following your channel ever since. I love your content and I hope you keep it up! Priced out of Toronto, I also made the same move three years ago and I'm so happy that I bought a place in Calgary back then. Now, even the prices here in Calgary are too high for me. I don't know how people can afford to buy/rent in Toronto, where it's even more expensive.

I've watched your videos for 1.5 years as I'm someone who moved from the GTA to Calgary and sought your thoughts during that time. Calgary is thriving, please move back! Calgarians make a premium wage. The healthy lifestyle of mountain activities and world class beauty is only an hour away. Housing/renting is still way more affordable than the GTA. Come back! Thanks for reacting to this important issue. These massive rent increases in Toronto and worldwide are unprecedented. Rents in Australia are up 30-45%. Rents in England, Germany and the US are also skyrocketing, creating a migration of rent refugees. I'm glad you're back making videos, and I'll look forward to more to come.👍

Good thing is there is going to be a turning point, for a price correction, for those who're prepared, It can be really simple - Invest in yourself, build your net worth until you really can afford to buy. If not, move out to somewhere affordable, you can complain all you want but it won't change a thing or make you happy.

Part of the reason for such high prices is the emergency low rates for the last 20 years and specuinvestors hoarding places along with ease of borrowing until recently. You’ve mentioned that you’d like to believe you could get a higher paying job but eventually this doesn’t work and I feel like Canada is turning into a ‘fuck you I’ve got mine’ country quite different from when I was growing up. Increased homelessness, drug addiction and mental illness all over. We don’t just live in an economy we also live in a society and Canada pretends to be this human rights example globally when in fact it’s becoming a very different story in the ground.

It’s a tough. I feel it as well. Hopefully something changes, issue is it’s likely going to take a number of years, so in the mean time I think it’s best we try to do what we can in our current situations

When i lived in toronto we paid Rent 1000 doller and we thoght rent is so high in 1999 for two bedroom back then minimum wage was 8 dollers per hour and tim hortons pay even 7 dollers so we thought 1000 dollers is too high so how ppl feel if they pay 2500$ for just one bedroom
