I find hates children trait reacts worse to children not toddlers because that was what it was coded for (toddlers didnt exist). Toddlers were patched in later and I dont think they updated the trait. I would love to see her in a house with 7 children. In computer terms children and toddlers are 2 different things and the trait was designed for children.

So what happened was that she was making grilled cheese (whether for herself or a meal for everyone) and a toddler interrupted her cooking it, and then they all just kept repeatedly asking her for food, and interrupting whatever she was doing previously, which when you don't direct them just creates chain of events that eventually cancels itself out. Which is also why some of them got food when she put them in a chair and some did not.
@wowlsdraws41372 жыл бұрын
i really wish the sims 4 had a better autonomy system. sure, sims will take care of themselves on their own if they have the means, but i think it should be more in depth. for example, after placing the toddler in the high chair because they were hungry, the adult found she couldn’t place food down to feed them because a dirty plate was in the way. it would be better if she would’ve cleared the plate so that she could feed the toddler, or even clear the plate before she put the toddler in the chair to begin with. sims don’t have the ability to think ahead

Wow! 10 toddlers! I tried in a house that had two adults and five toddlers. One adult was family oriented, etc while the other wasn’t. That one adult was trying so hard to take care of the five while the other would go sleep, play on the computer, or watch tv. I finally decided to give the adult that was taking care of the toddlers a job so it’d leave the adult that hadn’t with them. I felt so bad when the other adult got home because the toddlers were such a mess. The social interactions between the two from that point also became negative with the one that didn’t like children shouting at the one who normally took care of them. I eventually had to hire a nanny to help and gave the second adult a job, too. The only weird error I had was that at one point while the two adults were still at work, the nanny left and I got the popup that it was the end if their shift. The toddlers were still there, with one still in the high chair! It was then that I learned the toddlers can climb out of the high chairs if the high chair isn’t connected to a table. I had placed a high chair nearby, but not at the table. Mostly because I realized it was easier for the adult taking care of them early on to serve a meal rather than have him go and put each toddler in a high chair. It was faster, too. So I got rid of all but one high chair...the one that hadn’t been at the dining table. And when the nanny left for the day, the toddler in the high chair waited a bit, but then climbed out of it. My sim that didn’t like children, didn’t want a family, but was partners with the one who did was about like the girl in your experiment. Except that if she could go in a room away from them, she would. That was only 5 toddlers and so when I saw you were using 10 I wondered how much more chaotic it would be...and it definitely was more! My sim never broke their toys! Although to be fair since the bedroom for the adults was locked for just the adults, that sim would eventually go to that room and just sit on the bed ignoring all the toddlers. It got worse when I aged the toddlers up to children and started over. The one sim still did most of the interacting and taking care of while the other either ignored or shouted at the children. Then I gave them jobs again in the same order and the sim that didn’t like kids seemed happiest when the kids were at school. The other sim, she usually woke the kids up for school so the kids didn’t end up missing. Once I ages the kids up to teens, because the relationship was so bad between them and the sim that disliked them there were funny moments where the teens would get angry with her and yell, but she interacted with them more than when they were toddlers and children. But the relationship with the other adult was good between the her and the teens. They had good relationship statuses. The relationship between the two adults did improve after they became teens without having to have them go off to work. I decided to age one teen up, have them get a partner and have a baby and I aged up the adults to elders. Turns out the one who hated children didn’t have a better relationship with the toddler grandchild! She ignored them just as before, yelled, and basically acted like your sim where one minute it looks like they’re getting along and hugging and then the next they’re walking away and ignoring them. Meanwhile the other elder would actually play with the grandkid toddler and helped the young adult sim take care of it. But yeah, 10 toddlers! Wow! How’d your ears survive that noise!? I took my headset off at times when there was only 5 toddlers! Great video! Love watching your experiment videos!

I hate the hates children trait. I can't believe that something actually exists. I have heard of people losing their temper with children, but never someone who hates children. I have never been fortunate enough to have children of my own, but I'm absolutely amazed by them. And at one party there were children present, I went outside for a couple of minutes, came back in, the children were yelling and having a good time, it surprised me, and I thought that someone was being hurt, so I yelled out. I misread the situation, but I didn't hate them. I apologized whole heartedly. It was a very awkward moment, but I shows that Maxis took this hates children to an extreme. People may avoid children for many reasons, maybe they feel out of place, maybe they feel like they will over step their boundaries around children. But, I can't believe in this extreme that Maxis created. I tried this trait with one of my sims, and I'm happy that I was playing on my PC, because I was able to get rid of the trait. I don't like and trust any of these extreme traits that Maxis added to the game. I've heard of evil men who were drug dealers that would kill a disloyal member in the most horrible manner. But, they were a great father. Yes, there are extremes that people have gone to, but they are not as cut and dry as Maxis portrays. I understanding that programming has limits, but so should the ideas that the programming portrays.

It's funny that there are player who think that these sims should be smart. Maxis didn't create this game so people could watch the sims live their lives. Maxis created the sims so players would need to interact with the sims. There is a fine line between having programming that would allow the sims to stay alive until a player noticed that they needed to intervene. So, yes, the sims can be ignorant, but it's only because the players need to do something, otherwise this wouldn't be game, it would be a television show that people watched. In a television show, the people watching don't have any say in what is going to happen. So, these test in reality are pointless. Now, don't get me wrong. There are sims that malfunction, like the ones who go swimming in winter and freeze to death and they have the programming to avoid the death. These sims also have a logic level of ten, which is maxed out and they do stupid things like this. But, after watching a lot of these videos from multiple KZbinrs and playing the sims? I've come to the conclusion that a lot of KZbinrs expect more than should be expected. If you want sims that do everything on their own without any input from you? You should save your money and purchase television shows and movies. All you need to do is put the disk in and/or turn the television on. Then just sit back and watch what happens. This is a game, you need to do something. Major LOL.
