What happens if you miss a criminal court date?

I missed the court date about 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything since. The police were behind me while i was driving and didn't pull me over. :/ How long do i have to wait before i am arrested if i am? It started by me having to attend a voluntary police interview where i denied the allegations against me. My old landlord told me i had post, i went to pick it up, opened the letter and it was a court appearance but i already missed it by about 1 week! Will they set me another court date or will i be arrested even though i have denied the charges in a voluntary interview?

What happens after the suspect is arrested due to the warrant? Does he attend subsequent proceedings while in jail?

Great info! However, suppose you are in jail and your court appointed attorney does not make sure you're at your court hearing? This happened to a friend of mine and he now picked up a failure to appear--while jailed! He bonded out but we found out he now has a bench warrant. What can he do? The bail bondsman said this to be corrected in court.
