I was told that every behavior in Undertale had a reward or punishment. Basically that anything you do does have an influence on the following events. So I did what I was told and waited. About 45mn. Theory: This is a story flaw, that's why Toby (the white dog) is there as a "fix" to the storyline to tell that the player should stop waiting as Toriel is still looking for her cellphone and will never come back. Another theory: Everytime the white dog is present, it means that Toby wants to fix something. Other examples are when the pc version has the white dog in Papyrus's Tall sink (until you play the xbox or nintendo version where the sink has now an inside and the dog is not there (except the time the white dog is riding a bulldozer in xbox version xD)); the white dog appearing in Papyrus's attack when he tries his special move (it is theorized that toby changed that attack there since the initial plan was for Papyrus to use a Gaster Blaster, but it is so strong it might kill the player, and papyrus only aims to capture the player, so the fix is just to remove it. For a reason why people believed this, see Matpat's Game Theory about it); the white dog consuming the Legendary Artifact, where I guess there should be an item there, but Toby can't think of one (I guess), so the fix was the white dog eating the artifact and leaves a dog residue being the legendary artifact in disguise; and lastly the white dog inside the room where the door can only be opened when you dodged all the names in the credits scene, as an easter egg reward (since Toby can't think of one again I guess xD)

Now this makes me have a theory. If we know the order from where the souls have died: 1. Teal-You find their stuff in the ruins 2. Orange- You find their stuff in snowdin at the shop. 3. Blue: you find their stuff scattered in Waterfall. 4. Purple: You can buy them from the turtle dude in the waterfall. 5. Green: You find their things in hotland 6. Yellow: You find their stuff at catty and bratty's shop at the MTT resort. If we know for a fact that teal was the first to fall into the underground, and the first to die, If they were the first and we know their soul is filled with patience. They might have waited too long for Toriel and a monster attacked her. However we run into a few bumps.... 1. Toriel and Asgore were already apart after the death of both Chara and Asriel, And if it were a monster, how do they get it all the way to the capital? 2. We know the order of how they died, but not how they fell down. For all we know maybe Yellow went down first. We don't have any clue on which order they fell down. We only know when they died. But we do have some clues... by using Undyne. "Alphys told me humans were strong" This means she has never seen a human. So we can infer that any human that got past or died in waterfall Undyne wasn't alive. Becuase we know she can be around 19-29 years old when the player does their run due to her name on the undernet. So we only have 2 souls remaining that could possibly be around when undyne was around. And she could have delivered them. Which were orange and teal. It may be a possibility that a ruins monster killed teal, and ran it down a chain. And due to sans not making that promise at the time. He only makes it during our run. We can assume that sans has some help becuase he teleports. Hell, we can even assumed he killed orange, he seems like a likey Canadate, we see how he acts when he isn't a completely bad charater.(i hate sans fight me) during the genoside run. So it may be a possibility. But that's my theory
