That’s insane. I was actually googling New York law about underage runaways. Because my sister ran away at 14 we gave the police the address they went and got her and brought her home. And told the home owner if she’s let back they will not only arrested but evicted. The way the NYPD is handling this is just baffling to me

I’m glad you were able to get her to a hospital. Thank God for the mom that called you. From a professional standpoint (I’m a social worker) and from a personal perspective (I’m a mom of a son with severe behavioral issues), please get your daughter into a long term residential treatment facility. They will not only work with your daughter, but the family as a whole. Once she’s released, they will continue working with her and your family. My son stayed for 6 months and it made a huge difference. He’s not perfect, but the same behaviors your daughter displays my son used to do. He no longer runs away and his aggression has decreased significantly. We often have to do something different to get better results. Please consider it.

I am so glad that a REAL mom stepped in and called you. Finally somebody with proper parental skills picked up that phone and let you know what was going on. Honey Burlington would get you. It will get a hold on you and you can justify everything in there. I loved that gray sweatsuit set that you got the champion top with the sweatpants bottoms that’s me that’s me. Comfort is in necessity. I don’t want to feel tight constricted can’t breathe. Can’t bend can’t move. I want to feel relaxed, cozy, and that was hittin! I knew sooner or later God was gonna step in and change the direction of this journey. And I think the more time that she spends away from this little boy and his little trifling mother. I think she will outgrow the desire of wanting to be around him and whatever else is happening at that place. In their eyes, she’s an added expense that they can’t obviously can’t afford so they’re not gonna treat her properly. So I am thankful to hear that God put it in somebody’s heart to make that phone call to you. And yes, I agree with you God put you two in that room or wherever you were waiting to be seen to be in a neutral territory environment so that you could talk and nobody feels that they have the upper hand in the conversation and it’s between you and her. Enjoy the fact that you can now rest, knowing where she is. Things will get better. I’m so thankful. Because there are those families who have lost the opportunity to ever resolve anything. Hello Jazz, I just watched your video from two weeks ago, the one you made late at night in the bathroom when your kid ran away again. First of all, forget these rude comments of people who don't know shit! You ARE a REAL mom and a good one at that I have no doubt. Second, I sooo feel for you - the devastation and helplessness one feels with a child who just will not change. I am living it too - in a different way. My son is an adult and we have a different story. But not one day goes by where I do not worry about him and I just don't know sometimes how NOT give "in" as you put it.
