The last month has definitely been an emotional rollercoaster but finally having answers to the health problems I’ve had for the last few years is an incredible relief. While it isn’t much of a silver lining, with all the prep potions I’ll be having over the next year for the treatements to solve the underlying issue, Todd has agreed to whip up the best broths on Earth so that’s something to look forward LOL. Thank you again for the love and support you all have given...we always read every single one of the comments on our videos you all are truly the best group of people out there. Sending you all my love xoxo

Happy to hear your results. I’m not really very surprised as many of us. Hear the same thing. I have to go in every three years. And that’s to make sure there are no polyps. The last time I had them removed. They were pre-cancerous. And that underscores the importance of regular check ups. One thing that fascinates me is the difference between how that is handled in Canada versus the US. We are not just checked with the scope, but the polyps would be removed the same day with the same procedure. On a more fun note your cat just likes to play with water. There will be no swimming. I’ve been there with my cat. Cheers!

As someone who had advanced colon cancer a few years ago (and not that much older than you), I understand the worry while you wait for news. It's like you go into another world - one filled with "what if"s and trying not to anticipate the worst. Am really glad you finally got your results & that it's not bad news. You're both so right about getting checked out - it's only once every 5 years (or longer, if there are no polyps). That's doable. Cheers to the two of you. Stay well. P.S. I knew I would never keep that prep stuff down, so I made a huge veggie stew & drank the liquid from it every day (for 3 days before the exam) - kept the hunger at bay. Also magnesium citrate (tastes like salty 7-Up) acts as a laxative. I chugged that down each day, followed by real 7-Up to cover up the taste. I managed to clear myself out nicely while avoiding that God awful stuff. Basically 3 days of clear liquids, one as sustenance, one as laxative.

I just went through the worst prep I've ever experienced for a colonoscopy. It made me so sick, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to have it, but the nurse said to come on in anyways. Luckily, they were able to do it. I'm not a big eater & had eaten lightly before the clear liquid diet & drinking the golytely part. The lady next to me wasn't so lucky. I heard the nurse tell her when she woke up the doctor couldn't do it because her colon wasn't clean. Next time, I'll do a clear liquid diet, days in advance, like you suggested! Thanks for your info and best of health to you!

@@EllEss331 It certainly worked for me. The GI Dr was impressed. I always say that Golytely stuff is badly named. From what I'd heard, you do NOT "go" lightly at all. So, between that & the taste of it, I was definitely going another route. As someone with a small appetite, you'll sail through the 3-day broth regimen.

This is good to know - I’ll try that next time! The doc said something about a couple of places weren’t completely clean…I don’t have any idea how they weren’t ! That stuff is caustic! (Not really!) Great news, Tyler and Todd. Prayers are answered. The garden is looking good. Try to avoid any standing water to reduce the black fly 🪰 population. Have you considered an airation system in the pond to add movement to the water? Keep that galvanized tub covered to prevent egg laying by the flies/mosquitoes. The greenhouse was a good solution to preserve your seedlings. Yes, our cat, May, loves to wash in the shower/tub with the water dripping from the faucet or shower head. Love the new channel idea...I can use a nap, guys...lol.

There are native fish that would love to take care of the blackfly and mosquito populations. The salamanders and frogs also depend on those populations. If native Canadian dacers and minnows were introduced to the pond and any standing water areas..... Maintenance free fertilization for the garden, that does double duty as bug control. 😊

It is my hope that any and all health problems have been resolved and corrected and you both are in good health now - if health issues are a concern we will understand why you are more concerned with those issues than you are with You Tube videos. So happy that the outcome of your colonoscopy wasn't as bad as you feared. It's not pleasant, but it also isn't cancer and that's something to be happy about. Telling us all about your experience has, I'm sure, motivated others to get checked out. Kudos to you for being so transparent. On a lighter note...Squirrel may join you in swimming in the river especially knowing all of you will be in the water...not wanting to be left out of the fun. I used to have 5 cats and 3 out of the 5 would go in the water and swim. We had a cottage back then and they didn't like to be left out of anything that looked like fun. Mind you, the other two would sit on at the water's edge and meow at us.

The wood storage tent is what you can use as a greenhouse. That small greenhouse can also be set inside that wood storage tent and that way you’ll get it even warmer. Seedlings are sensitive to temperature change and too much sunlight can damage them, be careful with too much light for them. I don’t think you’ll need the lights in the greenhouse, they’ll get enough light from the sun. 😊

So relieved to 1) see you back on YT and 2) to hear the good news. What relief you both must be feeling…I’m pretty sure all of us here share that relief. And it was lovely to see you gardening again. ❤❤❤

Just a heads up about the greenhouse. I just bought one too and I've been using it for a week or two. I found out fairly fast that you need to open it up before it gets too hot outside each day. I let it closed on a day that wasn't overly hot out and it was so hot in the greenhouse it fried my plants. So now each day I try to open it up before noon and then close it up before the sun goes down at night. Glad to hear the news was good!

Sending all the love and positive healing vibes your way! 🥰 SQUIRREL!! 🐈⬛ Holding Court in this episode ❤️⭐️ 🦄, lol! Awesome! Kitties love to drink out of the running tap water, all of mine have done so over the years and it’s good for them. 😻 She will let you guys know when she wants it! Thank you both so much for sharing your lives and experiences and your fur babies here on your channel! Seriously… do you realize how dang cute and important you are? BREATH OF FRESH AIR ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm a little confused here..... Squirrel doesn't seem to like the rain on her but she likes to get in the shower with you...??? What's the difference? ....the VIEW....?🤨?🧐? And maybe I have just not been in the right place at the right time, but I have never seen a house cat that was into swimming. So I will be TOTALLY AMAZED if you eventually show us that she is taking a dip in a lake or creek with your dogs! But she DID seem to like being in the sink with the water flowing right next to her so....maybe she's really not a "run of the mill" feline...? And now to the important stuff.... Glad to hear that your "POSTERIOR PROBLEM" had nothing to do with the big "C" word ! ! ! In MY OPINION, Hemorrhoids are almost insignificant compared to CANCER !!!! My last colonoscopy revealed some hemorrhoids. Butt, (yes that's a one word pun...😁) there has never been any pain, just a tiny bit of blood on a rare occasion, so to ME that's hardly worth thinking about. Anyways, it's good to see y'all again and THANX for sharing the GOOD NEWS. In my opinion, "All is WELL in Canada" tonight !👍!😃!👍! Later, Gaters....

I’ve been through that weight twice once I didn’t have cancer and once I did but even when I did, we caught it early and I was fine so try not to worry. Cancer is very curable if it’s caught early. Good luck to you.

Monday evenings with my boys (and girl!) just got so much better now that videos are 30 minutes long 😍 SOOO happy and relieved right along with you for the good news about your surgery, Tyler! P.S. If you'd like I can send you some ideas around anti-bug sprays and lotions (store bought and home made) Here in the South African bush we've had to become pretty savvy with bug repellents! Love you so much, thank you for always bringing us along! PPS - This week felt SO much like good old days; laughter and tears and below-the-belt jokes and happy dances and vegan food and seeing the animals more and being excited with you guys about your gardening... MWAH! Hugs from South Africa 🦁🐃🦏🐘🐆 Ron XOX

I can't believe how worried I was about you Tyler ! So glad to hear that it isn't cancer! It doesn't sound like the hemorrhoid treatments will be any fun-but I'm glad that you have been given a diagnosis and can move forward with treatment.

Love the land it is so beautiful, nice job gentlemen. I learned that Cats prefer running water. My cat use to drink the tub water 💧 only, even with a fresh bowl of water. So I bought this small cat 🐈 running water fountain. Never returned to the tub. ☺ squirrel and the boys will love it.

Hey, hey , hey, thats my prez Bernie! He might be grumpy but I think its because we’re among a bunch of wackos! It gets tiring. Ok, 1st of all you two touch my heart, I laugh, I cry…super adorable. If you choose to be papa’s you will be among the best, just ask Squirrel. This week you inspired my salad eating, garden growing, fur baby nurturing, colonoscopy seeking (still not yet but getting my head around it). Thanks for all the laughs and heart squeezes! ❤

Oh Tyler...when I learned of the outcome of the examinations in the last minutes of the video it was as if a ray of light had passed through me. You don't know how much this has comforted me. The anxiety and concern of the last two weeks have been indescribable but you were every single day in my heart and in my mind ❤ What matters most is that the problem can be cured although I can imagine it will be unpleasant endure the therapy and it will take some time. I would like to hug you to tell you how relieved I am about the good news and I will always be close for all that will come. P.S. I send a kiss Lily too! Thank you for everything. I love you so much 💗🌺

I had a cat years ago that ran up my water bill. She loved sitting in the sink waiting for drips but learned how to tap the lever to turn it on. She got quite a surprise the first time she did it and got soaked. Eventually had to change the faucet to one she couldn’t control.

Native to Maine, the Maine Coon is one of the only cats who truly loves water. They are very affectionate and intelligent and like to hang out with you as you do the dishes (or take a shower!).
