I kind of theorized that they had either done that to him before, or he saw it before. Because, yeah the little smiling critters were horrific little things, and maybe he was telling the player to leave because he wouldn't have wanted them to be swarmed, but it feels like he knew what was going to happen. I believe he is supposed to be dead, but maaaybe not if it happened to him before.

Pretty sure each of them was an employee who joined the bigger body initiative to work at the playcare as the smiling critters, either that or they're also all children like Catnap who got turned into the smiling critters, but they just got along with the other children whilst Catnap didn't, and they didn't worship the prototype so Catnap killed them all!

​@@MalakSmalakwhile not confirmed but leaving to speculation, these were bigger body Smiling Critters who didn't truly went along with the Prototype and Catnap in their "rebellion" of the factory and tried to get the children or help the children or even the adults but got picked off one by one, to two of their own in the Critters began to get hungry then turned cannibal to one stabbing people for paint, so yeah their fates, despite not seeing there bigger bodies, were dark/depressing and sad. At least some closure that not all of the toys trusted the Prototype, hell even Mommy Long Legs saw through the Prototype lies before she got killed.

Aka, one of the employees that got offered a "better position" when an older one retired. It's not confirmed but heavily implied, and that only makes me feel worse about watching him die.

There's actually a different result on what happens to him, depending on which slide you pick. I don't remember which slide, but when you take a different one instead of the usual, the mini Smiling Critters will drag Dogday close to the hole and leave his body, leaving the prototype to take Dogday away. I saw it in another vid like this.

Man ever since the trailer showing DogDay I've been excited to see his role in the game like will he be another Kissy and will help us defeat CatNap? I like what they did honestly, they took all hope away from us, showing us that even people we wanted to be heroes in the story were dying all around us, including Dogday who fans hoped would provide a big part in the story. It really gives that sense of danger and horror in an unhinged world where nobody is safe!
