I would have opened the keys in the first kingdom if I knew that. It would have helped me get gathering commanders, stars, speedups, etc that could have helped me power up faster.

I wouldn’t suggest Egypt at any point in time to be honest. For infantry do France or Viking. Archers should stay with ottoman. But, we haven’t seen the special unit bonuses yet so maybe that will change my opinion a bit.
