People dont understand that the prices of things are never going back down. This inflation is deeper than we think. Those buying groceries are well aware that the real inflation is much over 10%. The increments dont match our income, yet certain investors still earn over $365,000 in stocks and assets. Wish I could accomplish that.

Thanks!!! That what had me really confused!!! I was about to get a $2120 call expiring January 2025 at 9.40 a contract. Thinking after the split it’d be a $212 call. Now it makes sense to not get it because I thought it’d move $100 easily within a month to be profitable, but that’s not the case. Normally before the split on average NVDA moved around $100 per month. But now after the split on average it’s gonna move $10 per month because of the split which is technically $100. Like you said you it wouldn’t be moving at the same rate it would be without the split. I mean it would but it wouldn’t be so noticeable.

Looking forward to growing my portfolio it is so tiny been trying for many many years, don’t know where the problem is , I have two LEAP options on NVDA and as I understand it I will have 20 options after the split, trying to decide whether to sale one day before the split on the run up and buy back in after the pullback after the split, or buy a Put on the day of the split with the proceeds, don’t have a team like you Terri, but thank you so much for posting this video!!!

The easiest way to understanding a stock split is using this example: Say you have a single $100 bill. If I did a 5-for-1 stock split on that, you'll end up having five $20 bills. You still own the same amount of money but for every digit of paper you were previously holding, you received four more, so now you now have 5 of them.

So, if I understand correctly, the stock price will have to go from 100 to 1000 again, which may take years. The only advantage is , the people that has more shares due to the split, will make a ton when it gets back to 1000

Yes, you’re thinking correctly. It’s a possibility that the stock will rise again and those that still have the stock will have a lot more shares.

What people don't understand about options on a split is the "Greeks". You actually make a lot of money because your "Greeks" change on the dollar movement if your option rallies in favor. In other words, if you buy a 1250 call on NVDA and the current price is 1180, then NVDA has to move 70 points to be at the money. However, after the 10 for 1 split, NVDA will be 125, and your option only has to move 7 points, and you have multiple of 10 contracts. But as she stated, you can wait after the split and get in the same option. Options are also not subject to date you need to be in before split. You can buy it the day before it splits. Amazon and Google did not have the momentum like TSLA or Apple. NVDA has a lot of momentum I think there will be a rally. Walmart recently split and pulled back then rallied. Depends on the excitement of the stock. Remember, buy the rumor, sell the news.
