My great grandmother was not much of a drinker, but every single night before bed from the time she was young until she died she slugged a glass of whiskey. She maintained great health and appetite and was still out dancing until she died at 102.

I take a deep breath and am struck by a heavy and rich scent. A lot of oak comes out, like soft gingerbread cookies. I feel dried fruit with floral perfume streaks. And a sucking deep strangeness with a little bitterness. A little manure tones too. Interesting, it is neither bitter nor sweet. A mighty, swimming sweetness in the beginning. I'm thinking of an English fruitcake. Then it turns and becomes dense, but annoying ectons. Wood tones, spiciness and bitter almond. The aftertaste offers marmalade tones, sherry and green tobacco. so it is incredibly possible and full-bodied. It is unexpectedly drinkable, you can really hang out with it. I expected it to taste more American I then carefully pour a drop of water into the whiskey glass. It tastes dirty, smoky and oily. It is a chemical process that takes place over the years. The "dirt" comes from phenols, smoke particles, which in turn come from oak. - After drinking as much whiskey as I have done in my life, I would say that it is spectacular. And hot, virile war whiskey

Your right theres also another study published around 1 year ago that found out every amount of alcohol will lower your lifetime. They said it doesnt matter how small the amount is. In the end there are studys that say its good for yourself to drink 1.5 ounces 4 days a week and there are some that say you shouldnt. In the end I will still Drink my 1.5 ounces each day. Its something i enjoy doing. Isnt that the most important thing when it comes to decide what your going to do? In the end its your life and you wont look back saying "damn i did so much things i didnt enjoy why have i wasted my life". In the end it comes down to the clause: do what you enjoy and you will have a good life. For sure dont be excessive but dont limit yourself.

De Vdka, I am quite sure Whisky is one of the best medicine in the world, a German doctor discovered this accidentally when he gave it to his patients, and he was cured instantly. He then helped many people, the pharmaceutical industry went after him, and you know the rest of the story. Whisky was made to sanitize the equipment in hospitals, as well as toilets and sores on people, drinking Whisky is a blessings for me. I no longer take high blood pressure medication, I am a pretty lady, healthy, in my 70's, I am full of vitality, and I am very active. God blessed Whisky. Blessings to you.

My dad drank every day in moderation, never saw him drunk, lived into his 90’s. So do I at 76 and hate being drunk, which is very seldom. My father-in-law was a recovered alcoholic, my wife drinks in moderation, but my five kids are alcoholic in middle age. Mostly under control now. Seems to be genetic. My side of the family is mostly German.

If a person has a close relative that has had a chemical addiction they have an 85% chance of becoming addicted. If you have no close relative that has been chemically addicted as I remember they have only an 8% to 10% of becoming addicted. Moderation in all things, and even moderation should be moderate. I think. I don’t drink any more but I don’t drink any less either.

Every days is not moderation, means alcoholism, you probably never seen you loser dad straight. You only drink everyday when your trying to escape real life. Must of hated his family. It’s not genetic you goose it’s called bad parenting. You could of broke that cycle but unfortunately for your kids you were to weak minded. Good job bud

Fun and informative! As a whisky lover and critic of the stuff, my recommendation is to be like both a kid in a candy store and the mother watching over them at the same time. Go for variety, go for unique and different flavours, but put a limit on how much you drink. Pour a half ounce or less in each glass and try just 3 or 4 varieties on a typical night. More if it’s a special occasion and less if you’re feeling a little off. Cheers🥃🥃🥃 Mark
