Thanks Luke for the simple explanation. I water fast regularly. Have gone as far as 40 hours. Great benefits. What you have to stress here is that during the feasting period we have to eat healthy, especially raw veggies, seeds and nuts. Eating salads is so important for gut health. I have been IF for 1 1/2 years to reverse my type 2 diabetes (no diabetes loss 50lbs). I cured my systemic pain which was so bad I could not get out of bed (pain-free for over 1 year) I have heard of clinics in California where they have cured a lot of patients from Cancer by water only. Thank you Luke for explaining in detail how this can or may work. I will try the water only fast I do find doing a 16 - 22hrs daily fasting but I will admit that I do drink mint tea and bulletproof coffee to keep me satiated, I am looking forward to the new results. Your are the BEST!

You are so right it does get easier I have started IF about 2 weeks ago and I don't feel hungry in the morning, I have a healthy lunch and it satisfies me I have a very light dinner. The weight loss is slow but I feel great. Thanks Luke for all your info and guidance. God bless you and your family.

Yes, you can!! Your growth hormone is higher when you fast. You’ll get better results if you exercise while fasting.

@@sunitasalvi3228 , when you fast for longer periods, the stored body glucose gets released into the blood to fulfil energy requirements giving rise to sugar spikes.. Hence prolonged fasting is not advocated for Diabetics.. Try to eat one of a whole low GI fruit like mosambi, orange, pear, apple, cucumber, tomato, kharbooj (musk melon) slice, etc at least..

I have also done 5 day juice fast it called the ginger blast it contains ( 99% greens and 1%fruit ) 1.5 Ltrs and water( BRITA MAXTRA filter) 1Ltr per day, any recommendations would be grate if it can be improved ?

I do intermittent fasting from sunset to sunrise. I have only seasonal fruit fo breakfast. 1 banana too. Then lunch at 1pm dal , veggie and very little rice. A cup of tea and 1 atta biscuit at 5pm. 6.30 I have a light dinner and a teaspoon of powered isabgol. I am 83 years old. I want to avoid dinner as I don't feel hungry. I have IBS. Can I avoid dinner? Please let me know

My simple question to u is...does biological clock matter while fasting?? Cz skipping breakfast is more easy than quitting dinner..hunger is on peak in the late evening hours...cortisol do play vital role while fasting..can u throw more light on women hormones and fasting...cz mostly women need more nutrition cz of their menses, skin, hairs, pregnancies and recoveries everytime...
