Htownluv29 it's easy to see why a cop would be a target in prison. Yeah it may seem like the cop is getting off easy but it probably saves a lot of conflict by not jailing them together with everyone else.

They get special privileges from being officers, if they betray their positions, the exact opposite should happen. And no, police are not held to the same standard obviously. When they commit crimes, they get coddled and slaps on the wrists.

My ex was a police officer. He was arrested last month for abduction (f3) and domestic violence (m1) after pointing his duty weapon at me and refusing to let me leave our house. These charges were added on top of violating a protection order (f5) from his ex wife that he was on probation for. I'm fairly certain he'll go to prison for it all. Seems like the courts are throwing the book at him. As horrible as he was to me, I don't want anything bad to happen to him. He has anger issues because of PTSD from his time in the Marines and I don't know if he'd be smart enough to keep his mouth shut in prison. I hope he would be kept separate. Thanks for posting this video.

I really like watching these. Im an ex con myself. And i really like how Big Herc shoots straight about things. And that he doesn't try to answer questions in a way where he is trying to impress everyone with some sort of war stories. I remember a former c.o. from one of the regional jails. Got jammed up and ended up in prison. And nobody really bothered him. Myself i was never in that particular jail where he worked as a c.o. but other guys in prison that were at that jail more or less said the same thing about him. That he didn't hassle anyone there that he just came in did his job and was decent toward everyone. So im certain that was probably alot of why he didnt run into any real problems. Another prison i was at another former c.o. came in as inmate. He got off on hassling inmates. They couldnt really keep him in one facility for very long. Other than one known primarily as "Special Management" not so much because of his past occupation. But because of how he hassled people when he was c.o. and a good bit of the ones he did it to were still doing time. With long memories.

Prison " culture" varies from state to state.I did 4 years in juvey, and then did 8 in the state penitentiary in the midwest. If you are a man,you don't have much to worry about.Keep your mouth shut, stick with your own people, and take care of business when needed.Thats my advice to anyone who may be looking at some time. I didn't follow that advice,I got into alot of shit during those days. The drama seemed to make the time go by, I guess.Spent alot of time in the hole, lots of pushups and reading. Bottom line,if you don't like to fight, stay out of the joint

There was an ex Miami Dade Officer doing 20 years and everyone knew it and know one cared, he was never at a camp, it took him 12 years to work his way down to the Satellite Low. Federal Prisons are EASY. You start out knowing that you get 2 months (58 days) off for every year you are in. If you don't screw up to bad you know when you get out ex. for 5 years you get almost a year off (10 months), not to mention the time you did in county or State lockup before you got sentenced. Complete a drug program get another year off. I was even able to stay in for 2 months instead of going to a halfway house, which you definitely don't want to go too, MUCH worse than Prison, those things are run by the biggest idiots. And Federal Probation is a LOT nicer than any State probation. I did time from a High down to a Satellite Low. Things were changing when I was getting out but food was great - compared to State prisons. Rec time was practically all day, movies on the weekend and we had soda dispensing machines in the chow hall. I tell everyone, if you are going to screw up, make sure you go Fed, not State (especially Florida State). I crack up every time I see a TV cop threaten a 'criminal' with federal time; please, send me to the Feds. Gangs and all that other BS that exists in state prisons - doesn't happen or happens very little at the Federal level. Don't get me wrong, doing prison time, especially life or 20 + years in any prison sucks, but I would rather go Federal. And once you get down to a Low prison, you don't even have cells and you have normal bathrooms. To me it was a lax army boot camp. Don't know about Super Max, I'm only talking predominately Medium and lower with some High experience.

Each State has a prison for corrupt cops, judges, and lawyers. The judge who sends those kind of people knows that if they were on a main prison that there chances of getting killed would be a VERY high risk. So even though a copy goes to prison, they will not go to a main unit. The risk of a inmate who that cop sent to prison will be a unit, and would seek revenge on that cop, or any other cop would be a high risk. So each state has
