If anyone cares, after looking around online it seems the switches are gateron silent white dwarf.

I'd be interested to see one of these controllers designed to use hall effect switches. Being able to set actuation point with rapid trigger like a Wooting keyboard would be next level.

Long time lurker on your channel since the first Snackbox review and I we even played in a Strive lobby with your Nago friend at some point. I know you’ve stated you don’t like to think about the numbers aspect when it comes to KZbin but these review videos are some of my favorite content to consume from you. I hope it doesn’t sway you in anyway. On the contrary, I look forward to whatever else you plan on doing.

I really do have big hands, and they have only grown as ive done manual labor, not the length but the girth(lmao) of my fingers. the three hit boxes ive played, feel just fine. With that said, guitar has become a little more difficult. T_T , EDIT: I want a hit box that i can slide across for big bodies. Most hit box style pads dont have the ability to glide across the keys.

For buttons like those you should test Lofree Ghosts, if you like that stiffness, for slightly lighter and same stiffness Wind engine from COSMOX/Haute, their both POM switches. For better version of Kailh Reds would be COSMOX/Haute crystals. Punk workshops are just cherry silvers and new ones with lower stem have actuation problems.

It’s not just big hands. I’m 6’2, my hands are slightly above an average persons size, but my shoulder width is pretty wide. I hate having to tuck my elbows in. I want to feel relaxed not all bunched up. I hate PS controllers for this reason too.

1:01 I dont have a big hand in the sense I can hold a basketball with one hand but my fingers are thick bois (tho I am on the bigger end hand size than other people of my height) so like for example playing electric guitar (while doable) was definitely challenging especially in certain hand positions/chord bc my fingers would be in the way of each other Similarly, for this layout, the split in the middle doesn't really help for me specifically. What they really need to do is use slightly bigger and definitely increased distance surrounding each button between each button even amongst the standard grouping areas. E.g. the directional buttons for this controller are way too tightly spaced that bc of it would mean my fingers end up hurting due to weird posturing/fatigue over long sets and playtime

Strange but important question. When the button is fully pressed, does it go below the controller? Is it flush? Does it sit a little above? I HATE when I am quickly sliding my finger off and there is something in the way.,

I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on the new M16 Plus with the wind engine switches from Haute42. They changed their key caps which made them better for sliding 360/720 motions, and the wind engine switches feel incredibly responsive. Will add this controller to my wishlist though, it looks awesome.

I'm glad I put off buying my new device because this spread out layout just seems so nice. Just wish it wasn't out of stock. The only real downside to a lot of the budget options like this and the Hautes is just how many steps it takes to put it in console mode. The Fightbox I've been rocking may not be as quality in a number of ways but at least I just plug it into a Wingman to play it on console.
@SomniaCE4 ай бұрын
Actually, quick question. Do you know what the difference between the V1 and V2 versions of the controllers are? The V2 is out of stock but the V1 is in and the price difference is only $10. Was this the V1 or V2 in your review?

how come every picture i see of the v1 and v2 hitpad pro has these horizontal lines etched into the face? this all aluminum face is very nice. the pics with the lines look cheap, almost like plastic. even keebmonkey’s pics.

They don have big hands, just fat and can't put hands that close, i am 192cm tall got big hands from fisherman work 23cm/13cm, just get Haute 42 T16 or M plus. Having that big gap between buttons limits some inputs where you use right hand on movement and face buttons at the same time.

Thanks for the video Andy!! As a FGC newcomer your insight has taught me a lot. I JUST ordered a brand new Hitbox before watching this video and now I'm nervous after how much you shit on the stock Sanwa buttons 😭 but that's ok bc I mostly bought it for the customizability and the clean look of the controller. Question for anyone: which buttons would you recommend to someone like me who's a wavuwavu electric spamming mishima? I have both the T16 and M Plus Haute42 and their buttons are just decent, even after months of modding them (lubed, new switches, etc). Decided to go Hitbox so now I can experiment with actual arcade buttons. Looking for comfy spammable and nice sounding buttons, dont care too much about loudness. Thank you!!
@AndyLO24 ай бұрын
Punk's Workshop buttons are top tier imo the V1/V2's have different actuation points though so you'll have to do a little research and make a decision on your own. Gamerfingers are still good if you can get them i've never tried the Qanba Gravity or Crown 302 but have heard good things about them both Just remember with the Hitbox you'll need to order 11 24mm buttons and ONE 30mm for the jump. I've made the mistake of ordering 12 24mm and not having a jump button in the past lol. hope this helps!

So just to clarify, you think it's the best price / quality? Better than the T16 right? You also think this controller is fine for smaller hands? I've been playing on the snackbox micro xl but have been looking to upgrade. Appreciate the honesty on the video's, you basically did all the most important controllers :)
@AndyLO24 ай бұрын
It is by far superior to the T16 and the best in its price range imo And any hand size should be fine as the buttons are still 24mm and spaced normally The split in the middle makes it feel more ergonomic as well

lmao the opening segment on hands killed me. Same thing with people saying they play hitbox b.c their wrists hurt like they are pro gamers playing 24-7
@ardidsonriente22234 ай бұрын
Years ago playing stick really destroyed my left wrist, and I was playing just a few hours, 3 days per week. I began to play on pad (claw style), where I suffered way less, and then with the fighting commander by Hori with 6 frontal buttons it was even better. Finally, last year, getting a leverless simply transformed the game for me. Today I play at least 2 hours every day, no more stress on the fingers or wrists, way faster response, way less hassle to maintain the device. Just amazing.
@a_wild_Kirillian4 ай бұрын
People can have hurting wrists because of work, because of malnutrition or being forced to learn a musical instrument by their parents or just stupid genetics. You really should drop that downplay out of your mind or you'll just be a jerk who can't comprehend some people having chronic pain.

Can a boomer like me use this to learn classic controls on sf6?
@AndyLO24 ай бұрын
yes 100% brolylegs used to play classic with his mouth brother anything is possible!
@ardidsonriente22234 ай бұрын
I'm 46 years old, with one and a half years playing fighting games on leverless: SF6 (classic), Tekken 8, Granblue Rising, etc. I prefer the smaller Haute42 S16 (I feel all the extra stuff is unnecesary luxury that doesn't really change it enough to justify the heavy pricing), but the principles are the same. Leverless is slow to learn in the beginning, but after a month you are already acostumed and reaping the many advantages. Leverless is objectively superior to the other controllers, by ergonomy, ease of use and input speed, so yes, a boomer can use this to learn and become better at fighting games.
This company has a really poor rating and a lot of customers had a bad experience dealing with them.
@ardidsonriente22234 ай бұрын
149 dollars. No. Buy a Haute42 instead. Seriously. Whenever I want to put more space I just displace the inputs to the second column of the action buttons and from there to the right. The first column can be used for less frequently used macros like Drive Parry or similar. If someone create this array for a reasonable price I will try it.
