I dig this knife so much. The look, the size, the overall aesthetic. If I didn't already have three times more pocket knife than I needed... be honest, I'd still struggle with the price point. I'm not begrudging you the price, mind. I'm sure there's a good reason for it. I'd really love to have one, but it would be tough to justify.

How do you sharpen a tanto. Do you first sharpen the primary edge then the tip? What kind of sharpener would be best?
@TheWeaversofEternity9 ай бұрын
Yes, you would sharpen each of those edges in separate motions as to not round the tip where the angle change is. I think the Worksharp Precision Adjust sharpener is the best budget guided sharpening system out there. But if you want to go old school you can get a couple of sharpening stones and freehand it. A lot of practice is needed for freehand though, so I'd suggest the worksharp

Very drool inducing. I'm also very curious to learn what that bolt action pen is at 0:13. Looks perfect for my kit.

5:33 no truer words have ever been spoken 😂 very solid review. Beautifully done. Love the aesthetics and how you showed it as an edc item in many ways. Perfect little pouch carry but also could fit in my watch pocket.

Cant find it on their website and the price wasn’t mentioned in the vid, unless i missed it, but i get the impression its going to be over priced for what it is, hopefully I’m wrong
@TheWeaversofEternity9 ай бұрын
As I mentioned in the video it is releasing this evening, but more specifically 6pm PST on their website.
@Wolfiexero9 ай бұрын
It's probably going to be massively overpriced
@GarrettsGear9 ай бұрын
And his $200 beads on a rope are not overpriced? Just depends who the OEM is.
@drewc19919 ай бұрын
@@GarrettsGearthose are titanium beads on kevlar string.

@drewc1991 I'm well aware. You're saying that this justifies a $250 price tag?

Nice vid! Beautiful looking knife... I'm a fan of small knives after owning a baby banter for a while. Also, man I love your EDC kit at 1:20! Very nice collection 😍

I have a knife by Ridge Wallet & it has the same profile as that but different blade shape
@TheWeaversofEternity9 ай бұрын
I just looked that one up, looks like a pretty cool blade!
@TacBlades9 ай бұрын
It's quite a nice design but I am not keen on that tanto tho lots of great options at that high price so a difficult buy.
@joshcarter-com8 ай бұрын
Really interesting knife and an excellent review. I love the minimalist aesthetic but I don’t care for the all-flat blade grind. Many tantos use hollow grind on the main edge for better cutting but flat grind on the tip for strength; it’s a “best of both worlds” approach. All-flat puts a lot of blade width behind the apex, which is less than ideal for slicing. (You mention this around 6:30.)
@Zaynlee969 ай бұрын
Hi, will you do a video on how you maintain the knives?

Kickass vidja, and killer knife! I always appreciate a good quality knife. I have a couple of Spyderco blades, (Manix 2, Tenacious), and I love them both. Although, the Tenacious has been nicknamed blood-letter because for the first month of owning it I cut myself with it a few times, lol. The two knives I think I want the most are a CRKT Provoke, and and Emmerson karambit, but with me needing wood tools I can't justify buying them...yet. I've been deep into knives since I got my first Barlow slip-joint folder, and haven't looked back. Cheers, and thank you for the great review.
@agoosteel9 ай бұрын
Blade isn’t for sale yet so you didn’t miss it. What would you consider overpriced tho?
@TheWeaversofEternity9 ай бұрын
Thank you! My very first knife that got me into the hobby was the Tenacious! I still have it and it's in my car emergency kit. I'm quite sure I cut myself with it too! lol I've considered the CRKT provoke as well. It's so cool, but as you said, it being a karambit it's practicality is limited. It would be fun to play with though of course. Thank you for watching and commenting!

I’m not into small knives at all, yes I do have a couple that were gifted to me but I’m going to stick with Takumitak full tang D2 blades for just $70 no matter which one out of the D2 series they are all exactly the same price and truly you can trust even your life with them. No I’m not advertising for them in anyway it’s just knives I truly trust at a heck of a great price, they are even CNC machine cut for true accuracy every time. Have a great weekend everyone, Namaste.

That's great! And there's nothing wrong with budget friendly knives either. Everybody should just get what works for themselves, what they like, and what they are willing to pay. Thanks for the comment and watching!

I have so many knives, and I am not even a collector. I just like different knives for different purposes. Will I purchase another? Yeah probably, but it is not a priority for me. I will probably get another knife sometime this year though.

If it cost more than a Kizer Yorkie, it will be a hard sell.

It's funny. I have many, many knives in my collection ranging from a $160 full DLC Protech Runt 5 to a $2100 RJ Martin Denim Overkill, but have never once owned any Chris Reeves models. I do like the Inkosi with the insingo blade, but i'm not a fan of hollow ground blades so never wanted to try anything from CRK. Guess maybe one day I'll try out a CRK since I'm liking my new CKF Rotten Evo 4.0 even though it's a hollow ground blade. This knife is certainly not to my liking and I'm guessing he's using a Chinese OEM which is a definite pass for me. I won't buy any knives made in China regardless if the OEM is Civivi, We, Bestech, Rike, or even Reatte. Tbh, Herman is probably my favorite knife maker, but they cost a pretty penny.
