I own a dog daycare/boarding facility and had this sweet little old 18yo dachshund for a month of boarding. She refused to eat her hard dry kibble the first couple nights, but also had bad teeth. I put her on raw(instinct longevity) for the remainder of the time since she was only 10lbs. The parents thought there were picking up a new dog when the picked her up a month later. They said "we haven't seen her this happy and that full of energy in over 10 years". She could barley walk when she came in and was bouncing off the walls when they picked her up. I sent them home with 2 months worth.

I really want a dog when I get more financially secure and want to raise it only on meat (with an occasional egg) supplemented with offal and bones. Ideally I’d feed him twice a day when he’s growing then eventually switch to once a day, maybe even once every two days, depending on activity level, replicating a diet their wolf cousins. There is many informative articles pointing out factors like their shorter digestive tract and teeth shape indicating dogs are primarily carnivores, which is to be expected as they were bred from wolves, and much like wolves, dogs should mimic their eating patterns of long fasting periods. Maybe not to the full extent of wolves who can often go weeks without food but once a dog has fully grown, limiting their food to one meal a day would have potential health benefits. I can only be an armchair expert on the internet but it breaks my heart when I see dogs that are trapped indoors, barely exercised, overweight and lack any discipline such as jumping up on visitors. Great question! It's important to remember that not all raw is created equal. As part of our food safety program, we use HPP (high-pressure processing), otherwise known as cold-pressure processing. High-Pressure Processing is a 100% natural non-thermal technology that employs ultra-high water pressure to neutralize food-borne pathogens such as Listeria, E. coli, and Salmonella. This methodology does not use heat, chemicals, non-natural additives, or preservatives, but rather pressure to reduce the presence of dangerous pathogens. HPP is a USDA-recognized anti-pathogen step. It depends on what the customer is looking for. Our ground food is super easy to feed because it already contains the correct ratio of muscle meat, organ meat, and bones, plus all the vitamins and minerals needed for a fully balanced diet. All the customer has to do is portion it out and feed it. Even small dogs and elderly dogs with bad teeth can eat it. Whole raw foods are great for people who want more control over what their dog eats, but it takes a lot more time and effort to make sure the diet is fully balanced, and whole bones may pose a choking hazard to dogs who like to gulp their food without chewing. When it comes to whole vs. ground raw diets, one isn't necessarily "better" than the other; ground is just much easier.

It has nothing to do with what a dog is fed and has everything to do with natural prey drive, training, and socialization. Dogs are more likely to get aggressive when they are fed an imbalanced diet, because they are uncomfortable and feel ill. Dogs can easily distinguish between what is food and what is not.

@@wefeedraw Hi, thank you for the reply appreciate it. We have got a few incidences here where stray dogs have been atacking people. I suspected some one feeding them raw leftovers. Last two months these incidents are taking place. Dogs were normal before that. Even i am a dog lover and feed them regularly. Any way i can stop them being aggressive?
