In a way this sounds somewhat similar to a situation my daughter experienced her senior year of college. She had met a young man who was studying in the US from China. They had hung out a few times and he was very sweet. One day they were hanging out and he got on a video call with his mom and introduced my daughter as his girlfriend. She being a Caucasian American wasn't sure how his parents would take their only child possibly dating a foreigner. To her surprise his mom was very happy. The mom went on to say that this was the first time her son had even mentioned a girl and they she was just happy he wasn't homosexual, which I guess they had assumed. My daughter had absolutely no idea how to respond to that.

Just an FYI- some Asian parents like it that their son/daughter date or even marries an Caucasian because then it gives the parents bragging rights to their relatives. That their kids has made it in life- they think most Caucasians are wealthy. Sometimes it’s better for them to marry an Caucasian because if he/she were to marry someone of their same race - the parents would be too controlling, mentally abusive to the spouse, and etc..

I have a friend who is Chinese and he says there’s an over abundance of Chinese men so it’s really competitive and hard to find a girlfriend and wife since there’s wayyy less woman then men in China. So lots of men look abroad for love. (Now.. Idk how true that really is but it makes sense).

Actually, that does make sense with the 1 child rule they had to control population growth in China. I did hear that they removed that rule and now encourage married couples to have a second child.

Hopefully Sisi realizes very, very soon to strike while the iron with this is hot. I hope she is planning on expanding this topic, if she really likes to do this, on a broader scale like dating foreign men period because this one tiny topic will only thrive for so long. When things are going good for you, you need to take advantage of it while its going. Maybe she's planning to stay on this specific topic till she is at 100k i guess and then maybe she will expand into other things and STOP letting the algo run her channel for her and just do those videos anyway despite low views. I see it with others all the time and they keep on going just fine.

Sounds like the parents were shocked he found someone and honestly with the parent’s approval from the beginning it might take a ton of stress off them. Plus gives her time to reel him in on the do’s and don’t of dating 😂
