Woah, This is a really great take and perspective. As an anarchist, i kind of concur that independence brings about order and community. Also, I like that this story isn't just about "humanity BAD" or a jingoistic attempt at "akshully humanity good and stronk". This story feels like a really way more honest look at people. I like the idea of chaos causing good cuz at heart i'm an anarchist. Humans always form order and consensus through community.

Agreed, with billions of individuals all we need is ONE good, workable idea to overcome any situation, if every other race is focused on just one major aspect of life then the Human 'jack of all trades' approach can and will find a weakness against them.

This is why liberal democracy works so well in human society. Basically, it sets out some basic rules we all have to follow, and then allows us to do whatever we want outside those rules. Unlike in authoritarian societies with a lot of restrictions on modes of thought and action, democrcy sets out to first and formost free the chaos, and only then try to legislate it towards a desireable direction.
