It only works cause if you rarely get to use specific skins you WANT to use your mind will think that "hey skins are hard to come across so they will surely improve my gameplay!" It sounds dumb but that's what happens.... The placebo effect activates until you become self aware or get bored of the skin... At that point your brain will register skins as useless and placebo effect disappears making your skin... useless... But but it's not done! You will either look for more skins..... This makes the placebo effect stronger... Or you will get tired of skins overall and you will go onto a depressed state contemplating the causes and effects of buying skins or skins in general!

@@Kolijoo Or you could just get a skin that you like very much, it's your money and you decide how you wish to spend it. Imo skins make the game more enjoyable. But i sometimes play with default skins or battlepass skins just so the gun feels different, another way to fix this issue is swap variants or put the gun onto random so that it changes skins. There are many ways to fix this placebo effect. Even one skin is all you need per gun, may get boring but most people only use a single skin for a gun/knife so make sure you pick one that you thoroughly enjoy. I know that this was posted a year ago but I just wanted to put my opinion out there.

Kaemi or anyone else for that matter, I have a burning question. How do you stay consistent with the sheriff and marshal? Sometimes I play really well 1 match with 1 taps and clean flicks and then the next match I cant hit a single shot.

If you’re tilted you can start getting ignorant and ignoring game mechanics like tapping and you start spraying etc... So every game I always take like 5-10 minutes break off screen before queueing even if you’re not tilted.
