Makes sense he goes health shard instead of armour/mr. Elite plays for scaling and health converts to AP for Vlad, so it's basically like having a 3rd Adaptive shard on Vlad. Plus the health shard outscales the armour shard after level 6 (iirc) and there's not a lot of midlaners that do max HP damage, last I checked.
