There are 5 reason why the fungal infection win: 1. They have flying calamity which are hindenburg, the hindenburg also was capable of releasing flesh bomb that are really explosive and also can drop the nuke or big flesh bomb which are deadly, and the most important one they can fly while the flesh that hate doesnt have a lot of flying flesh or doesnt support air attack 2. The flesh spreader thing has very low health, a hundred of health and while the fungus calamity has bigger health. Which made its a bit unfair 3. The fungus has poisonous effect which are infesting, it can slowly kill and turn mob into one of them, making the flesh army useless 4. The hive create the barrier or wall to protect itself while the flesh just keep spreading and doesnt even built anything to protect, making the fungus easily able to destroy the flesh 5. The flesh spreading radius are small and only increase a plenty after evolving into next phase while the fungus can grow and spread bigger than the flesh

Calamity mobs spawning is random. Water version of spawning was just bad rng rather than a wierd spawn. Tho the water calamity can walk on land so its not useless or anything. Spore mod is so underated. Honestly imo its the best infection mod atm.

I whoudnt say that necesarily, Spores weakness is that it has a Heart that if destroyed will drasticly effect the Infection. Spore is also slow at spreading tho once it has been alive for long enough it becomes one of the most dangerous infections. But id still argue Sculk and Scape Parasites are a bit stronger. Sculk is like spore but with slightly weaker mobs but faster spread. Scape parasites dont really have a heart, instead they focus on numbers and spread. If they do create a Biome its more of a asset than a Core. Wich means its pretty much impossible to stop without the Players help.

I actually made a space modpack and I replaced the flesh that hates because it was appearing behind my base literally the moment I start progressing. They grow too quickly and appear in your chunks so its hard to stay somewhere for a while. Spore however only has mobs so its fair game

personally i think the spores mod really stands out from the other infection mods from a design point of view. i love the fact the hiveminds build bio cubes around them, the sieger has a really cool long range TNT style weapon, the large mobs are able to break blocks making it much harder to defend against, and are one of the few infection mods that actually have a bomber

The lag might have been more from the massive amount of particle effects you were around rather than the mobs during the last fight. I didn't have much faith in the Flesh that hates winning though. An SCP inspired mod versus a massive project like the Spore mod didn't seem like a good matchup.
