Little update I just managed to leave my full time hospital job! I'm not yet a full time reseller but can now afford to work part time while I grow. Just got a food prep job 3 days a week so I can work on ebay on the other days / evenings

Since you asked my stores selling limit stayed the same. 1,390 items or $47,500 per month. Basic store. Most i have listed is about 15k in a month 300 items. For me any increase is not necessary and if they gave me a billion listings nothing would change currently. No clean slate for me i guess.

Tech! You are incredible. You have taught me everything I know about reselling. I started in July and now I am getting 20-30 sales per day consistently and more on the weekends. I love your videos by the way. You have endless ideas that most of the time work really well. I list 5 items every day and also delete and resell similar items frequently. This week I was doing 150 item a day.. Unfortunately many times i'm lucky to get 0 to 5 items sold in a day. I have a store with about 3500 items that are mixture of media, toys, books, and videogames as well as other collectables and many times stuff that is really low priced and rare can sit and just not sell. I find Ebay inconsistent with sales at tines. I wonder sometimes if Ebay just works differently in Canada then in the US. Offers work badly at times too ... I get the ability to send out offers then minutes later Ebay removes it.

If you want to make money I got a few ways on how to do it for sure. eBay removes buyers from the buyer pool who receive what they have deemed too much communication. So send offers early, send offers often.

One thing I’m finding very difficult to overcome in 2024 is all the returns I’m getting. Reason such as “I already have this item, but I didn’t realize it.” “The cuffs fit weird”. And “My girlfriend just doesn’t like it.” (He bought it for himself - He likes it, but his GF doesn’t) are all starting to become expensive (I pay return shipping). Buyers have no idea the issues they create when they just carelessly order an item - Be it impulse or whatever. I know the response is “well, that’s just the price of doing business” - But I’m facing a constant issue with this and I don’t know the resolution. Returns are way up in 2024.

In the washer. Be careful about letting them sit too long, they will lose the shape. Be careful with wool it will shrink. Be care with red & white ones the red will bleed. For wool & red I spot treat.

Store still gives you a portion of free listings, so even if you can list billions of items they'll still charge you for them. But if you have a store it's cheaper for the ones where you get free listings.

Can you sell successfully on eBay as a seller of new items from your own brand? We can’t list daily as we have multiple quantities of the same item versus one offs of multiple different items so we aren’t getting new stock in that often. You can but you will have to find ways to drive your own traffic. By keyword, by popularity, etc. Much easier to sell items big brands are already spending millions to drive traffic to

This unlimited listings is BS. Sellers still have limit to fee-free listing for whatever your category is. I.e., I don't have a store, I get 250 listing per month w/no insertion fees. I got the 5M listings too, but if I go over my 250/mo, I will be assessed a listing fee. So it means nada to me. I think many don't realize this and eBay is duping us to list more than allowed and assess this fee per item.

Do sellers with same-day shipping get punished if they only print the label but the post office isn’t in possession of it until the next day? Every item has a cut off date, it will show you on the Awaiting Shipment page, you have to get a SCAN by the carrier before that time has elapsed. Not just print the label, has to be scanned.

When you are bringing 250 orders to the post office, do you use a scan sheet or get them scanned individually? I use a scan sheet, but keep hearing from other resellers you lose insurance on the items until they reach the next shipping hub and get scanned?

Hi Tech, I'm an Australian clothing seller who has managed to increase their sales by 50% following the advice in your videos. The biggest issue I’m facing at the moment is finding flaws with the items I buy at thrift stores. I do what you suggested taking my basket to a well lit area and checking each item individually but I’m still finding a small holes and marks on some when I get them home. I also occasionally find I accidentally ruin items during the washing/steaming process despite being as careful as I can. I end up with about 2-4 unsellable items a week out of the 40-50 I pick up, which as my cost of goods is high could cost me $20 - $50 a week, and most thrift stores don’t allow returns here in Australia which doesn’t help. It’s causing me quite a bit of stress, do you have any suggestions? Thank you in advance for taking time to respond to this :)

Try to break even at worse, turn a small profit at best. It's going to happen, we just have to do what we can to keep the percentage as small as possible. It'll never go to zero.

If you can provide tracking that confirms the delivery of the package you will win the case every single time. If you cannot supply tracking that shows delivery you will lose the case, the customer didn't get their item, why would you win? In this instance, file an insurance claim with the post office. Learn the ebay seller protections if you want to know all the rules of the game and win the game

I'm not worried at all. Whoever wants to watch can, whoever doesn't won't, today, tomorrow or in a year. That's okay. If I was worried I wouldn't have started the channel 5 months ago knowing 5 years ago my retirement was coming. I have much larger plans than what is going on today. It's all calculated. Nobody else can share the experience of starting with $35 and blowing up their business to the top in the entire world selling millions of dollars a year, hiring. firing, scaling, while being highly profitable to now being able to sit on a beach for 50 years and STILL make more money in retirement than grinding away every day. I don't teach reselling, I talk about how to build a business and make money. A lot of people listen to the videos and don't even resell, the fundamentals are the same. The experience and the knowledge will never leave me and will always have value. I'm not using this to compare myself to Michael Jordan, but, Jordan has been retired for decades, you wouldn't listen to him talk about basketball? I would. Paul Orfalea was the founder of Kinkos, he built a billion dollar company and sold it in 2004, we wouldn't listen to him? I would. If the information becomes antiquated then sure, it's not good information anymore & nobody should listen to that. My channel will of course evolve. Everything evolves, change is good. The channel will only get better, for those who wish to watch.
