This message is a deep insight into the theological knowledge. The pain that Jesus suffered on the cross was not physical pain but the spiritual pain mainly Father Son relation was severed at the cross Father forsaken the Son for the sake of humanity This was the worst painful experience for Jesus. Father temporarily closes His eyes on Son for redeeming humanity. True picture of Love for humanity. Through His death Jesus gives us the right to call God as OUR Father. Not only this as Pastor mentioned above Jesus was experiencing hell and God's wrath for humanity Cross unites man with God the Holy relation which was broken by 1st sin. God bless you Pastor.

Excellent sermon.....very well explained ....you know......that from the dust of the ground man was made and he was only a dust with a feature ....but as soon God breathed into him he became a living soul......likewise as soon as the man dies , his breath returneth to God.....and what remains is dust ....the same old dust which was taken from the ground...thats exactly what happens when we die.... but at resurrection it is through his glory we would receive a new glorified bodies replacing the old worn out body that has decayed....with the power of eternal life bringing into it back again.....ONLY TO THE BELIEVER....so easy to get....AMEN

i'm not so much worried about when but how. death doesnt scare me. suffering does. with the increasing unprovoked animosity and violent criminals ALLOWED to run free, the odds of being brutally attacked increase, whether its me, you or someone you or i love. i can barely listen to the news anymore because i suffer every time i hear about someone else being harmed by evil. we should all be so blessed as to live to ripe old ages and go quietly in our sleep, in the comfort of our own homes. No, i'm not worried about my soul anymore. It's in God's hands. the reason why is every time I think I'm saved someone comes along and says "yeah sure ya are... you should consider this bible verse!" At this point, when that day comes, I know God will judge me fairly and justly. I just don't want to be viciously attacked or put through some agonizing trauma or lingering illness. and i don't want others to either. When i think of the possibilities i try to remind myself of all that Christ suffered the day he was crucified. and he knew in advance what was going to happen and still went through with it. I just hope to maintain the same courage every time I step out my door, without knowing what might befall me.

Physical death is the separation of the body and spirit. If Jesus does not return in our lifetime, we will all face death one way or another.

I’m confused. “Jesus says::”Why hath God forsaken me?” Then Jesus takes on suffering from man demons and something else. Perhaps God.Then the pastor says Jesus doesn’t die unless he wants to. Then Jesus gives himself to God and his hands.The title never answers the question...

I discussed that with my brother, we are serious -is- *about* this subject, the only conclusion we can draw was that Jesus was fulfilling the prophecy. Words and all. However, I believe you're still lacking to be here and asking that question. Please start over with your Bible reading so you don't get confused(seek guidance from a pastor) and draw snap conclusions(slow and steady with an open mind).

Believe what the bible says and not the therapist. If soul sleep is for real, meaning when one dies, they sleep in the grave unto the resurrection, then there's some dead people that got to get back to bed. How do we explain Matthew 17:3, Moses and Elijah walking around talking with Jesus? How did Peter know who they were when he never met them? How about Hebrews 12:1, The great cloud of witnesses? What are they peeking at, when they suppose to be sleeping? Psalms 90:10, we fly away. How can you fly away after death, when you suppose to be sleeping in the grave? Luke 16:19-31, plain and simple. The rich man died, AND. The beggar died, AND. One open his eyes in hell or hades and the other was taken to Abraham's bosom. How is the rich man talking to Abraham when he's suppose to be taking a nap? The body of Jesus died, but not the spirit. Ecclesiastes 12:7, the spirit shall return to God who gave it. James 2:26, The body without the spirit, is dead. Where people get mixed up at is Ecclesiastes 9:5, but they stop there without reading farther down to verse 6. Under the sun or on the earth. It's talking about them not knowing what's going on on the earth, but they are very much alive. How about Job getting doubled back for all he lost. Why didn't he get back doubled of the children? Because the first set was still alive, but not on the earth. So in fact he had doubled the children. There's too many more to prove the cast. 1 Corinthians 15:42-49. There is a natural body and there is a spiritual body. Only the natural dies. It would be a contradiction if soul sleep was true, when you have so many still awake after dying. When it's understood that there is a natural body and a spiritual body, the contradiction is taking away. Why would Jesus go down to preach to people who were sleeping?

MrSuper JCOOL; 40 minutes you think you might not want to "give up" in your young life if it is young. I was once in shoes oh so like yours. I didn't always have time to do the "right thing" as listening to this ministry would have been. The one thing I know now having lived to the ripe old age that I am, it is not the "COOL" things that our minds will focus on as we are sick and older. Rather, it is those, "Whoa, that's a lot of time minutes" that we took time for that later gave us such comfort. I believe there is especially something great about the minutes we choose to take when we are young such as these minutes that mean even more when we are older. A form of "discipline" in a very undisciplined life, perhaps. One thing is certain, eternity is non ending. Would it not be wise to perhaps take 40 minutes on this side of life before the eternal life begins? Just saying.....Much love to you.

+Mark Burgmon Christ said to the thief on the cross next to Him "today you will be with me in paradise". He also explained something about what goes on after death when He told the story (not a parable) about Lazarus and the rich man. This was before judgement, because the rich man was conscious, and he was aware his brothers were still alive on Earth. Christ also indicated he had been to hades and preached to those who had died before Him. You can't preach to someone who is not conscious.

Heb 11:39-40 ---39 And all the old Believers had obtained a good report through faith are waiting in the grave and received not the promise: 40 Because God having provided something for us at a later date, so that they without all of us should not be made perfect until the end. Titus 2:11 ---For (Jesus) the grace of God which carries with it salvation for all men has appeared, Hebrews 9:28 ---Jesus having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear to those that look for him ----- the second time without sin ------ for salvation. Matthew 7:21 ---Not every one shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but they that do the will of my Father in heaven.

This sounds great however your interpretation is off. The bible clearly states that the dead know nothing they are but asleep awaiting the return of Jesus and the dead in Christ will rise first and those who are alive will be caught up with them and meet them in the air. You stated that if we want to speak to our loved ones who died in Christ all we need to do is ask the father to give them a message for us. If we are in his hands as you put it when we die why would God burden us with cares.

This is erroneous teaching. To say that Christ died the second death, a death from which there is no resurrection, would be to say that Christ remains dead, our faith is vain and we remain yet in our sins (1 Corinthians 15:17-19) Rev 2:11 He that overcometh shall not be hurt by the Second Death. (He that overcomes has already 'DIED" the Second Death - death to sin! Therefore, it cannot hurt him.) Rev 21:8 But the cowardly and unbelieving and the abominable and murders, and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Did Jesus go into the lake which burns with fire and brimstone? No. 1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; So He was put to death in the flesh and NEVER EVER endured the 2 death but was quickened by the Spirit and he went and preached unto the spirits in prison. So please do not listen these type erroneous teachings that appear OK but when checked against scripture are clear as lies.

I am Jewish, just like so called "Jesus" was. I believe in the same Father he did. My Father in Heaven, Avinu b'Shmayim. When I die I will call to the G-d of Avraham, Yitzhak and Yaacov as the Psalmist did, "Into you hand I commit my Spirit". There's is no salvation apart from Jesus. I don't see no fear or terror in this sermon at all. Just a glorious hope made possible by the work of the Cross.
