(그리고 제 여름철 떡진 머리는 신경 쓰지 마세요 ㅋㅋ) It was such an honor to shoot this!! To everyone out there learning Korean, keep going!! Also, ignore my greasy hair haha it was a HOT summer here!

Question: how did you avoid the problem of all those Koreans in NY switching to English? I assume most are bilingual.

@@absolutelyashleigh Your interview was great! Inspires me! I'm curious, how long did it take to master the pronounciation (I sound awful right now)? And was the grammar initally difficult to grasp, the conjugations, endings etc. ?

I'm 72 and began to learn Korean this year on January. Although french is my native tongue and almost all the material on KZbin is in english I think it's never too late or too difficult to learn a new language. I study several hours every day and hope to be fluent in 2 years from now. ( If I'm still alive! :) )

I know that same bookstore owner! He's great and it's such genuine joy when he sees people truly want to learn Korean language and culture. Another bookstore in Flushing has another wonderful owner who was too kind in thinking I was Korean when I ordered some textbooks over the phone. When I came to the store to pick them up, he didn't think it was me (afrolatina, not many visit) until I switched to Korean. He was so surprised and has been a huge help in my language journey. Great memories from both stores. 🥰

라는 주제입니다. a house - 한개의 집 / a big house - 한개의 큰 집 / an expensive house - 한개의 비싼 집 ---- 이건 한국어와 같은 방식으로 big 과 expensive 등 house 앞에 위치해서 집을 꾸며주는 형용사로 사용된거라 한번에 이해를 했습니다. 그런데 a house in my neighborhood - 우리 동네에 있는 집 / 이라고 해석은 되지만 / 인식 / 이 궁금합니다. 한개의 집 안에 우리 동네 ?? a house that I bought last year - 내가 작년에 산(샀던) / 라고 해석이 됩니다. 한국에선 a house that I bought last year ----------------------------------- 이 부분이 앞에 선행사인 a house 를 꾸며준다고 가르치고 있습니다. a big house 는 big 이 house 앞에 위치해서 뒤에 있는 house를 꾸며주는것과 같다고 가르치고 있는거죠. 제가 정말 궁금한건 이 말이 맞는건지? a house that I bought last year 를 듣거나 글을 읽으면 어떻게 인식을 하는지 정말 궁금합니다.. This is the house ( that ) she gave him.

@@JinSu-o9l happy to hear that ! :) just know that I started learning it by myself before starting my Bachelor too ~ I think u should learn for the pleasure of learning but also for your goals whatever they are. Learning a new language was the best choice i've made for now, u Will see that it Will change and bring you so many things you would have never expected hehe ~ :) Also dont forget that on your lazy days of this long journey just listening to songs or watching movie is still part of the learning process ! A little bit everyday of work will pay off ~ And most importantly never ever be shy to make mistakes or talk to people in order to improve ~ I wish you the best !
