This is pretty stupid. PS still supports PS3 and even gives PS3 games in its PS+ deals (hell they still give out PSP games). They not only expect people to still be using it, but they're still somewhat investing into it. Games are still being made by third parties. I've had my PS3 since 2011. I played on it today actually. I own a 1TB Limited Edition PlayStation 4 and PSVR. I have a PC too and yet I STILL manage to play on PS3. Lol I like to get my money's worth out of my belonging lmao. ALL of my stuff I own is brand new or looks brand new. My PS3 is literally brand new looking and everything I own like I said. I remember in 2017 i finished my freshman year.I started playing my ps3 again after 2 1/2 years, cuz life hit me hard asf during that summer in my first week I got arrested for doing some stupid shit with a friend, the judge gave me 1 full month of house arrest and I decided to take my ps3 out my closet cuz my older brother took away my Xbox one. I got online for 1 hour and I get these messages from my friends from Colombia. 1 of them said “Chico what’s the word up there in America u forgot about us bro it’s been more than 2 years since we last heard of u you had us worried, when u gonna comeback to Colombia” I told them I stopped playing ps3 around late 2014 cuz I got an xbox and I lost interest in the ps3 right after that. I felt like a dick for ditching them i should’ve atleast asked for their snaps to stay in contact but in 2014 I still didn’t have a phone. Right after that I started playing BO1, BO2. And gta again like old times with my old friends, I remember when I stayed up all day talking to an older cousin of mine from Colombia while playing bo2, I told him about the problems after getting arrested for beating up a nigga with a friend cuz he finessed my wallet, and he would give me life advice and suggestions on how to better myself and my character, and he told me “learn from what u did to try to avoid that again and grow from it, and trust me you’ll change a lot”. Not the best summer but I learned a lot that year.

Last time i played on ps3 was last month and everything still works fine. MW2, Bo2 and Gta V still have the servers running fine. From my games, only Gran turismo 5 and 6 have shut down their servers.

Away Rexzia i quit modding back in 2015 when ccapi and all the cfg an backup fags came along, it died out fast after that. But when backups came out and you would create a comment for someone, the backup theyd send you for the comment has dump files in it that you can open using wireshark or any other tool, im not the only one who knows of this, lots of others have done it too, thats why they created a new backup method that allows anyone to use it without the actuall modder himself resigning the comment to your actual acount and ps3, how do you think the backup comment worked before? Lol
