On your PS3, go to settings, remote play, and turn on remote start. Whenever your PS3 is off but you open the remote play app on Vita, and connect to the internet, your PS3 will turn on and automatically go into remote play mode. When you're done using remote play on Vita, your PS3 will turn off after a few minutes.

You can get a larger / faster harddrive. When I had my 60 gig Backward compatible machine, I bought a 7200 RPM 500 gig harddrive. The stock Hard Drive was 5400 rpm, and there were times when the difference is really noticeable.

Yes it does! Try to use Play-Asia (It's a website). It will tell you if a PS3 game is region free. Then you can buy from whichever country it's from and it will work on any PS3.

These tips are really useful and teaches PS3 users how to use their PS3 in ways which they don't know. A PS3 is also a media & social system, not just a gaming system. Here are some recommendations: Turtle beach PLA Headset - An affordable & great quality headset, I paid £23 for mine, only negative is lots of wires so get some cable ties to avoid tangles, this also means no re-charging though! USB Camera - PS2 Eyetoy, Cheap (I paid £2) & reasonable quality.

firegamingfox 1312, NOT true. If you have a US marketed PS3 and you put in a DVD movie you got from Europe, it will bring up an error message that says "Error: video in PAL broadcast not supported"

Not directly. If you connect your iPod Touch to your PS3, the PS3 won't read it. But you could get a USB drive, and copy your iTunes library to that, then connect that to your PS3 and copy it over.

The #1 tip you SHOULD have mentioned is the phone layout for text input. Typing on the qwerty layout is slow and tedious. The phone layout (ABC-DEF-GHI) gives less jumping around with the marker and faster access to letters. Plus, the T9 function is great for longer messages. Press the green button in the bottom. This should really be your #1 tip! Great tips, although I knew all of them except for non-friend trophy check and downloading videos. :)
