What happens when you ignore a mini dachshund

Our miniature dachshund Mac loves getting our attention and snuggles, so we decided to see how he reacts when we ignore him.
Mac is a miniature sausage dog (doxie, teckel, dackel) who lives in Montreal. Follow his adventures here!

My 11 yr-old wire-haired dachshund is just the same. Fausto simply does not 'do' being ignored. He invents new strategies by the day to prevent this happening. One is never alone with a 'Fausto'. Mind you, he does allow me to sleep in his bed,more or less.

What a nice gentleman! He reminds of mine... Mine also liked to be in the center of attention. He liked to lie on my knees when I was working from home. I had a keyboard stand, and my friend used to lay very close to it. If I didn't pay him attention for say 5 minutes he would kick the stand with his hind paw reminding me to stop working and pet him.

That’s a typical life a hotdog. Mine was just like that. Didn’t like to be ignored, and used to bring his ball and throw it at my feet while I was watching the football game. And if I didn’t pick it up and throw it he would keep nudging it towards my feet. You’re a little hot dog reminds me of mine who died almost a year ago good dog lived 16+ years
