It would sound the same since the gas inside is SF6 not the gas outside. That means the travelling sound does not interact with SF6 very much. So, slightly, yes, however not noticeably.

Why would you need hexaflouride? Normal airy air + co2 from breath + the weight of the balloon itself is heavier than airy air itself, so to 'levitate' is you would just need to find the right mix of airy air + helium.

At 10:07, I feel the reason about why the balloons randomly exploded, is probably because they were sitting in the bin with the Sulfur Hex-a Fluoride for awhile and all it needed was the slightest bit more of pressure to make them explode (because as soon as Nate threw one balloon in the bin, it popped the one it hit)

Yes. Regular air has weight that can be measured in grams in a full balloon vs an empty balloon. No balloon needed for sulfur hexafluoride since it's heavier than air and can be contained in a open container.

I think it would be neat to see how many layers of gasses you could put in a container. SF6 on the bottom, fogged co2, Nitrogen. Maybe some type of depth buoys floating on the different layers, maybe colored fogs of each gas forming a stratum? I don't know how feasible it is but it would be neat.

I found myself hoping youd have placed the tumbler with the water and dry ice in the tub along with the sulfur hexaflouride...would have been cool to see how it may have layered/ striated.

what probably caused those balloons to bust is the difference in pressure between the outside gas and any inside gases eventually overcoming the material strength of the balloon itself as even when are seems completely still there is still some pressure differential between various sections of it which causes a increased pressure which can rip through lighter lighter things as though it were being pressed on by something more solid
