You can suction the excess out by the dipstick tube .

we had our oil filled too much ugh. we are getting codes P0018 P0019 could this be the reason? we just had an oil change so the oil is now where it should be but the codes are still there so could it just be we need to drive more to hopefully have any(if any) excess oil burn off or do these codes mean to replace the crankshaft and camshaft sensors? are these hard to locate and replace on a 2012 gmc acadia? our car is running okay a little rough idle and sometimes takes a little to start first time we drive for the day. we were also thinking of replacing the map sensor

I accidentally put a lil too much motor oil definitely less than half a quart more will I b ok? Its 2002 Civic Ex

I put 11 quarts into a engine that required 11 pints.

I accidentally put way too much engine in my car and then BiG buff of blue smoke and then a loss of power. Do I simply need to reduce the oil level, or is this a sign of more damage. Any advice most appreciated

I mean cars have PCV systems now so crank case pressure isn't really and issue.

Probably nothing happens. So much test video’s with to much oil and it all works out great. Once you fill the whole engine up it’s a problem. Oil needs to move.
