What Happens When You Reveal You're Revan to Jolee Bindo EARLY?
One of the more famous moments in Knights of the Old republic, is when Revan, after regaining his memories on the leviathan, is confronted by the crew of the Ebon Hawk about his former identity.
However, there is one crew member who doesn't seem to be shocked at all...
So if Jolee knew all along we were the dark lord of the Sith, what happens if we hadn't met the hermit yet, as we had left Kashyyyk as our final planet. And instead opt to TELL THE FORMER JEDI DIRECTLY of our true nature, testing if he really did know from the get go.

He's too apathetic to be Kreia. Well at least until Revan meets him. Kreia always encouraged people to take action, create "echoes." He lived too much like a hermit to be like Kreia. She would criticize him for apathy as "apathy is death."

Jolee's teachings are Kreia's exact criticisms of the Jedi and the Sith without the next-level bizarre assumptions on the Force (or how the Force "creates" Sith and Jedi, which is ridiculous because the Jedi/Sith are philosophies, not classes you spawn into).

Causing a potential galactic genocide for her beliefs is far from being apathetic. That’s the difference. Jolee was content with being a hermit even if his ideas were solid. While Kreia took action. That right here is the difference between the two. You are arguing at me like i’m a Kreia stan or something when I’m just highlighting the massive differences between their philosophies. Also, time and time again Star wars has shown that those strong in the force have less free will than we’re led to believe. I don’t think that people spawn into certain classes like a video game, however the dark side 1000% corrupts you into someone you weren’t before. Kreia is a flawed character and her philosophy is flawed but she’s an incredibly interesting one and she’s willing to take action on behalf of her beliefs while Jolee wasn’t until he met Revan. They aren’t the same in the slightest. I like both tho

Jolee actually spits the most wisdom in all of Star Wars lore… he excellently demonstrates what the light side of the force is and perfectly explains why the dark side is the way of death. A lot of life lessons can be learned from him and future Star Wars writers could learn a thing or two from playing this game.

Kreia is much wiser, so much so that she breaks 4th wall, realizing that the Force is behind all conflicts and deaths, that the Force has its own will and must be destroyed. We have already seen what happened to the arrogant Jedi who blindly believe in their dogma in KOTOR 2. A man should be a person and master of his own fate, not a slave to the codes of Sith or Jedi, not a slave of the Force and it's power.

@@michaelnewman7468 Except she failed in that, and all she ended up doing was training another fighter for the ongoing force bullshit. While Jolee is a living embodiment of leaving that game behind. He's everything Kreia wished she was, detached from everything until it suited him, always did what he chose, rather than following a specific dogma. Kreia thought that constant struggle was the way to freeing yourself, but it turns out just being chill and doing whatever you want also frees you, but with the added bonus of getting to enjoy yourself along the way.

What no one will argue with is that Jolee is the most knowledgeable NPC from kotor 1 and Kreia is from kotor 2. Both are excellent as writing material helpers, if you wish

Jolee, to me, is the ideal jedi. He's not some bureaucrat atop a shining futuristic temple in the middle of Coruscant. He's just some old monk living in a desolate forest, following the jedi teachings without becoming overzealous or overly passive.

It is more following the will of the force than it is following some dogmatic doctrine that they put forth. I’ve got a suggestion for a KOTOR video. What happens if you give the Sith student Shardaan the right blade from Ajunta Pall and return to Master Uthar empty handed. Does the game let you progress or does Uthar kill the player for their failure to retrieve the Sith artifact?

Thank you! Its actually based off Jeff Bennets Revan from SWTOR. Funny coincidence, Jeff Bennet plays Kyle Katarn... the original Katarn voice was played by Rino Romano in Mysteries of the Sith... who also voices Revan in KOTOR! So, long story short... I stole Jeffs take which he inherits from poor Rino 😂

I want to save everyone else the effort, just to see if anything interesting happened I did Tatooine last in my most recent play through. As far as I could tell there was nothing that came up. Worst yet, I never got a scene between me and HK-47 where he acknowledged me as Revan (that said, I did not repair him so there might be a fall back there).

Surprise twist they never mention: Jolee is Revan's father. Jolee's wife was a Sith, so that would be one strong Jedi parent and one strong Sith parent. Revan is strong in both sides of the Force. Jolee felt guilty about not being able to redeem his Sith wife. Jolee starts following Revan to try and guide Revan.... The level of restraint of never full on coming and saying "_I_ am your father" is intense!
