Carth knew that he had no chance in a fight against Darth Revan, even with Mission's help. Besides, Canderous and HK-47 would definitely be on Revan's side, and even Zaalbar might attack Carth because of his life debt to Revan. Running was Carth's only option.

Counterpoint, mission vaos death in a dark side playthough is the perfect way to showcase just how evil the player becomes. Killing Carth, or juhani or jolee just shows you're more powerful and aren't letting anyone get in your way, but mission vaos is a child, alone against you, Z, the droids, and canderous and bastila. She's no threat at all. Killing her is simple evil, and it shows just far the fall really is.

I remember I went full ds first play through. That was an interesting ride. Didn’t even realize until basically the end that I’d actually killed one of the comps (had to look it up). Killing Mission by ordering Zalbaar to do it was pretty messed up. I love that they made it possible for your own companions to turn on you based on the choices you make. I really liked the impact you could have. Unpleasant though it could be, all the more to show how good a game it was.

I only did this once and I remember when I got to that point I was like "wait...what?!" Cause I generally always ran dark side characters who were generally compassionate towards my companions in both Kotor games and had played this way before in this game in particular but never ended up with this dialect and I vaguely remember not having much option other than to go thru with it when the time came. Somehow I never managed to get to that point again. Edit: lol omg I totally forgot Carth ends up basically looking like he just ditches Mission after telling her to run. Lol brother you really have a unique style with how you narrate your videos. It's absolutely awesome. I can't wait for the next one!

This game is probably the only game I've ever been unable to playthrough on the dark side (I usually love being evil in games) for the singular reason that the light side companions are incredibly annoying when they're constantly berating you for your evil choices (and you can't make them shut up about it either), it got so damn annoying that I just couldn't finish playing so I instead took the quick and easy path (which in itself is the dark side way in Star Wars canon, ironically enough) and just watched videos on KZbin on all the important choices made in a dark side playthrough...

I quite enjoyed this option. However, just as often I would free him of his life debt so that their corpses might be carrion for any surviving rancor or starving Rakata that might have survived my cold deliberate strides down the corridors of the Dark Side. Then again, I would bring utter ruin on the fools of the Sith Academy by betraying both masters simultaneously, though in that case, I always ate the Lightside points and let Carth's son survive, after all, how better to bend someone to your will and gain their loyalty than to do them so massive a favor.

Mission was my companion throughout the whole game from the moment i got her. She had all my lockpicking, demolition, stealth, computer skills I needed to make life much easier in every level. I helped her find her brother and bought her very expensive heavy armor so she wouldnt bloody die all the time. A truely loyal companion...... Such a shame when I made Zaalbar execute her....

When I loaded my temple save file to do the dark side ending for the first time, when it came to killing mission on the beach I wasn't expecting the heartbreak I felt for actually killing her. Well Big Z killing her. It did pass after the scene but god did I feel awful.

Zaalbar is such a great character. I always take him with me wherever I go and give him the respect he deserves; he's definitely the most loyal character in the game, which means a lot to me. I think he's one of the main reasons I could never do a dark side playthrough. I wish he would’ve stuck by Revan at least a little longer in the book. I get he and Mission are a team, but he gave REVAN his life-debt.

My favourite move was from KoToR 2 and you max out the force choke + something else(cant remember which) but you lift the enemy into the air and force crush their entire body. It is with mods that made this story more better. My dark side PC started out light but, upon learning that he has been lied to and the cruel truth, being on Korriban and struggling with the dark side, the distrust of Carth, the capture of Bastila, he began going down the dark path. At that point, when he joined Bastila on top of the Jedi Temple, he hesitated before before cutting down Jolee and Juhani. He convinced Mission to join him, (I had the Save Mission mod) and they went to take the galaxy from Malak's feeble grip. At last, the Dark Lord of the Sith rised in his place.

That's my idea of a dark side Revan too. I wish I had the talent for modding. My ideal KOTOR mod would be this: Dark Bastila confronts Revan, Jolee and Juhani on the roof of the Temple. Bastila tries to convince Revan to join her, saying the dark side is stronger... Dialogue changes: Player : "You claim the dark side is stronger, Bastila? Prove it. Kill Juhani." (new Dark Side option) Dark Bastila: "What?" Jolee: "What??" Juhani: "What???" Player: "If you kill Juhani, I'll join you and become a Sith. If you fail, I'll remain a Jedi." Jolee: "No! Don't do this, Revan!" Player: "Stay out of this, old man. If you interfere, I'll cut you down myself." (Dark side option, only option available.) Dark Bastila: "So be it! Juhani, prepare to die!" Juhani: "I will be your doom!" Jolee casts Stasis on Revan (plot device, player can't save against it). Then Bastila casts Stasis on Jolee. Neither can move. Dark Bastila and Juhani fight each other, while Revan and Jolee stand helpless and watch. (The player can't control Juhani or heal her with medpacks.) The fight continues until either Dark Bastila is defeated and begs Revan to save her, or Juhani is killed. The Stasis on Revan and Jolee ends either way. If Bastila loses, then the player can either help her against Juhani (Dark Side option), in which case Jolee intervenes and we're back to the original scenario of 2 vs 2, or (Light Side option) refuse to help Bastila, in which case Bastila runs away. If Bastila wins and Juhani dies, then Bastila asks Revan to kill Jolee to prove his allegiance to the dark side. If the player accepts (Dark Side option), he has to fight Jolee to the death, while Bastila stands and watches. If the player refuses (Light Side option), then Bastila scorns Revan as a liar and a coward, and then runs away. Or, if Jolee defeats the player (to unconsciousness, not death) Bastila scorns Revan as a weakling, and then runs away.

I do this on every dark side playthrough, and I do dark side much more than light side. No game really compares to how evil you can be in KOTOR, from galaxy-changing decisions like harnessing the Star Forge to selling the promised land journals to the jealous merchant in the undercity just to get a few extra credits. It's the most fun I've ever had being evil in a game.

I always think back to this moment and the whole of Kashyyk questline when I go to KotOR2 and deal with Hanharr's dialogue chain and the whole thing about the lifedebt just being carefully crafted and self-imposed enslavement and how this tradition weakens the Wookies.
