It doesn't make any sense for Patrick to be taken to the altruists , he scored lots of dangerous heists in liberty city , i believe he won't be scared so easily and he would do everything to get out .

You can also trigger the cult by finishing the main story and deliver the two love birds (in my case. Probably can do it with any of the others as well). I saved the mafia chick and dated Ursula in the play through I did and only delivered the wedding lady and the gold digger lady to the cult before I finished the main story.

You shouldn’t take the hiker, Packie or the mob boss daughter to the Altruists, you get more out of them by just dropping them off.
