HelloImLana I began liking Harry Potter after I got a gift certificate to Hastings. I was in junior high and the books had been out for a year or two. I bought the second book because the first was sold out. My sister in law saw that I didn’t have it and went out and found it for me. I read it and I was hooked. I felt like belonged in the story. I am a huge book lover and writing is my greatest passion in life. The series just took me somewhere I had never been and years later it’s still inspiring me. I often carry around my wand pen and say if I could design my own wand, it would have a pen on it. I owe a lot to Harry Potter. It came out when I had just become a teenager and the last move was released when I had just finished college. Now today my nephew and niece are loving it just as me.

HelloImLana Harry Potter was something I’ve never gotten into until my mom died, my cousin’s girlfriend sat me down to watch it after one of my breakdowns, and I was hooked ever since, especially relating to Harry and being very comforted by many of Dumbledore’s many many inspirational quotes, Harry Potter (Hogwarts) is my home away from all the stress and craziness of life. It’s my rainy day/ crummy day thing to watch/read when I need an escape without Harry Potter I literally wouldn’t be as sane as I am today or I may not even be here.

i have no words, this is probably my favourite video of your channel atm. i swear that everytime you talk about what harry potter has taught you and what it means to you i always end up crying; not only because it's a story about growth but also because all you said is true. i loved reading as a kid but what i loved more than that was when my sister would read hp for me to go to bed and all that magic would apparate to my dreams. my sister would always tell me that i had to wait for my letter to arrive and be patient because there were other wizard kids in the world and so i did. practicing spells, dressing up as what i thought hagrid looked like, using my mom's vroom for magic purposes, staying up all night in my birthday to wait for hagrid to come to my house with a cake and my letter (even if i wasn't turning ten just yet)... and so on ♡ that was my childhood, and im so grateful my sister introduced me into the wizarding world. it truly changed my life and i remember those days as the happiest of my life so yeah :,) thank you so much for today's video, really. love u!

Love this 😭❤️ I first got into Harry Potter when I was 7 years old, I watched the movies first as I didn't like reading at that age (one of my biggest regrets) I instantly fell in love with the series, I found my home. I didn't start reading the books until I was 13, falling in love with the series all over again. Harry Potter was the first real fandom I became a part of, it taught me that there is magic in the world, even if we don't see it, it taught me that love is the most powerful form of magic we will ever have. I love this series with all my heart, and I know it will forever be a part of me, a part of my life, always ❤️✨

I used to love reading, it was my escape from the world when I was little. But then I lost that, it was like any story was enough for me and it was like uncool to read. I met some friends that love reading and they introduce me to the world of Harry Potter. And I fell in love again with the fact of getting inside of that beautiful world, I discovered so much of myself reading the books. I love the impact that the book had in my life 💙

Oh my god, this is the most beautiful and emotional video I've ever seen. I don't even know how to put into words what Harry Potter means to me, but I'm going to try my best. Well, I was that type of kid who didn't fit in easily; I didn't use to have many things in common with the other children and although I never went through bullying, I did went through really tough times; not only because I felt sort of alone, but because familiar problems. I sheltered from it all in reading and when I first started to read Philosopher's Stone the 25th of April, 2008 I didn't know why Harry Potter was so succesful, I thought it'd be just one more book and I expected nothing but to find a bunch of words between its pages. But then I began to read and I couldn't understand how could it be possible to love every word a little bit more than the previous one and for the first time in forever I felt like I had found my happy place. I will never forget that the first words that I said when I finished it were: "so, this is how home feels like". I will be never be able to thank J.K Rowling enough for her books and for how they made me realise that there was also a little place of the world for me.

I was the same with you about reading growing up. I didn’t like reading and I would just linger on a page in class and not follow along with the rest. I grew up with the first 3 movies first, but never read the books. Then until summer of last year, I really got into reading with the help of Audible. I read Ready Player One and was instantly hooked on how much fun it was. Then I asked for the HP books for my birthday, August 5th, and I got them and ever since I heard Jim Dale’s voice, I knew what I was missing out on. From that moment forward, Harry Potter will always be with me.

"As he was discovering his powers, I was learning about my own" I really felt that. 🖤⚡️ another amazing magical video, wouldn't expect less from you! Well my story with HP is not as magical as yours, as any 90s/early2000 kid I was a big fan of the movies since it was released, but it wasn't until I was 13/14 that I started voluntary reading books, so in 2010 (just before the deathly hallows pt 1 movie came out) I decided to only read the Deathly Hallows (even tho I had the 3 first books at home) because I thought "what's the point of reading the previous ones, if I already know what happens? " (so silly i know) but after watching the last 2 movies I realized that the books are always better, so I thought I should read the whole saga, but i don't know why i never ended up doing it. The years passed and I found your channel, Tessa's channel, and my love for HP started to grow again, so after a while of wanting to read the whole saga and now that I graduated from college and have more time, I finally started to read it and I'm currently about to start with the second one :)

Harry Potter means the same to me! I had the worst time trying to read when I was growing up. I struggled in school and couldn't understand why I wasn't like the others in my class. Then my teachers had me go through testing and that's when I was moved from the normal classes into special education classes for reading and writing once I went into 7th grade. Then when I was in 11th grade, I got blessed with an amazing teacher that went out of her way to change how she was teaching since I wasn't understanding it. That's when my views of reading completely changed. I went from hating even thinking of reading a book even though I loved collecting them to absolutely in love with reading. And Harry Potter was the first book I read with the love of reading. In the summer of 11th grade going into 12th, I read the entire series. I just read and read! I couldn't put the books down and didn't do much as I was so memorized. The magic and the feeling of growth within the pages filled my heart with happiness, excitement and so much emotion. I finally loved reading.....cause I was finally able to do so! The next year, I tested out of special education classes and was back in the normal classes! That was such a win and did I feel so good! Till this day, Harry Potter is my life and it will always be so special to me. Its the magic that drives me! Thank you for sharing your story!!!

I don't know why, but this made me cry. My Harry Potter story: I had to read a book for school and the teacher said it had to be Harry Potter. At first I didn't want to read at all, but I started anyways. In 2 chapters I fell in love with the story and I recognized myself in some characters. I read all night long and later it became an escape from the world around me. I found out that there are others who love Harry Potter as much as I do, and I'll never stop loving it.

This video spoke to my heart and made me cry!💖 I didn’t read Harry Potter until I was 14 years old because I grew up in a family that told me that Harry Potter was wrong and evil because it has witchcraft in it. One day I was walking through the library and something made me stop and turn around... to this day, I cannot tell you what it was that pulled at my heart and told me to look behind me. I glanced at a shelf and there were all 7 of the books. I decided in that moment that I would choose whether it was good or bad, so I picked up the first book and devoured it in one night. Since then I have read and seen all of the movies multiple times. This story has changed my life forever, and every time I come back to it, it’s like coming home.❤️

HelloImLana I am a Slytherin!!! And I’m very proud to be one! A lot of people hate on the Slytherin house but I personally love it! When I first discovered HP I thought I was a Ravenclaw because I’m a huge book nerd! But other than loving books and riddles, I have nothing else in common with Ravenclaw like I do in Slytherin!💚 I also wanted to mention that after I read the HP books, I told my parents about it and what the story is all about, and my parents actually ended up buying me my very first set of the books!! And now I am sharing the love with my siblings! My 3 youngest siblings have seen the first 3 movies and are about to start reading the books! I’ve been able to create special bonds between myself and other people through this amazing series and I have so much love for it!! (Sorry this was so long!!! Thank you for listening to my story!❤️)

This video is SO BEAUTIFUL! the edition, your words, did I cry? spoiler: yes, I did I grow up with the Harry Potter movies and i liked them a lot but didn´t consider myself a fan until later. I was in highschool when I read the books and I was a "cold" person but those books were the first ones to make me cry and i cried like a baby in some parts. Again I lost contact with that "world" and some time later I discover your channel and watched you talk about Harry Potter with such passion that made me remember how it made me feel when I watched the movies or read the books, so I started to get more involved in this magical world. TLDR: I always liked harry potter but didn´t know how much it meant to me until I watched you, so now Im more open to my feelings and can proudly say that im a Potterhead

Beautiful video for a beautiful story! I consider myself a big HP fan but to be honest, my relationship with it is a bit love/hate. Let me explain. (Spoiler alert: The love part wins). A friend of mine told me once (not sure if she came up with this or if she read it on the internet, it's not relevant anyway) that the best thing Rowling did was crating the magical world. The worst thing she did... writing about it. And I must agree, the story is far from perfect BUT ... with this story, she did something none else had done before. I have met my very best friends through Harry Potter, I have written fanfiction, drawn fanart, attended premieres, queued for the shops to open and get the next book before the internet is flooded with spoilers... I felt I was part of something big, something important. I have felt those symptoms before, but it was nothing but a temporary obsession. It's been nearly 20 years since I received my first letter to Hogwarts and I still enjoy being part of this family like I did back then ☇☇☇
