@@chalocoy Fair enough. However you have to admit we do have the right to complain when many media outlets have panels consisting of majority female panelists on this topic. MSNBC had a panel of four women. All we ask for is to let us have a voice. Both men and women have the right to express their views. Not all male voices are misogynistic and not all female voices are misandrous. The men have the right to bring up this inconsistency like women who find predominantly male panels on the reproductive rights issue.

The topic was on Gen-Z and there was only one Gen-Z person on the show. Also, the men’s group guy seemed to be working with Gen-X and older people. It didn’t seem like he had Gen-Z men in his groups. Another important thing to note is, this was not a group of experts. The panel should have been made up of a psychologist who specializes in working with Gen-Z age people, an anthropologist who researches changing dynamics among different generations, a youth counselor from an LGBTQIA+ center, and a neuroscientist to explain thought processes and cognitive differences. All of these specialist I mentioned, would have given a more fact based response, which is based in decades of research. These specialist could have explained the factors based in ideology, which could pertain to region of the world you’re raised, religious influences, tribalism/politics, and the overall connection that is biology and how our brains process information. Even get a professor who teaches women’s and gender studies would be helpful for the conversation. As an anthropologist myself, I could have come to the show with actual peer reviewed data on the topic and a neuroscientist such as Robert Sapolsky could have given a clearer answer of what is going on with the brain. Also, having more panelist who are Gen-Z academics would be useful too. Something to think about for future shows.

I get that this is produced in a conservative country, but at least if discussing the divide in other countries...representing the actual points of view correct or at all should be appropriate. Women are accused of being in a bubble that is radicalising us... but in that bubble what we are often talking about is the research and data of what happens to women at the hands of men. What is pushing us left is that the data shows it nevwr getting better and that is confirmed by our lived experiences for most of us being harrassed since we were children and many of us assaulted, as well as a billion and one other things. I will happily give away all the "advantages" of patriarchy - split bills, provide, buy the ring, whatever...if it means the danger finally goes away and we're not getting hurt anymore.

Listen, you are literally never, EVER going to completely get away from the dangers you are talking about as long as some men just turn out bad, which will be always happen. You can exhaust yourself talking about whatever statistics you want. But some humans will ALWAYS victimize other humans. It doesn’t matter what kind of societal changes you want to bring. It doesn’t matter how many arguments you win online. You still share a planet with men and you can’t make them disappear. Some of those men WILL be bad and that’s a forever unchanging fact. So…now that you know this, however you want to live your life is on you. If your solution is to socially isolate yourself from men and alienate the ones who were nice to you, then go do that. Or if you want to try to convince men on the internet to not do bad things to women, then go do that. But you’re still not eliminating bad people from the world. You’re not going to create a completely safe world for yourself.

Our social media by and large is a reflection of, "let the market decide," Neo-Liberalism and Post-Modernist thinking, which has strategically eliminated socioeconomic class struggle from the discussion. The result is everyone fighting for a dollar, because that dollar equals a voice. Traditionally feminist and post-feminist thought was more focused on valuing and protecting aspects care-giving within society. Since the 80's the focus shifted more towards representation in the upper-class, which puts these representatives, pedaling hyper individualism, in positions to care for others they essentially identify with. While there is conversation about 'mindfulness' it is almost always coupled with consuming something luxurious to escape into fantasy. The results are attacks on individual consumers for wanting a return on their investments, even if they are based on unrealistic or a highly exploitative structures. Hence the frequent saying to the incel community, "You don't dislike women, you dislike capitalism."
