It was lovely to see your blogs. In the uk from the months of October to March, the weather can be miserable. It certainly makes you think that when one retires, you could spend your months in a warmer climate. Darren wishes you the very best. God bless.

Every where looks better in the dark….and when youre retired it’s nice to sit by a log fire….Christmas in the snow….without any tsunami drama ..and everybody knows what youre saying..sovereign citizen…lovely..

@@griswald7156 There have been literally only 4 white Christmases in the UK since 1960 - ie 4 in 64 years. Bing may be dreaming of one but if he lived in Ipswich he can keep on dreaming because chances are it'll be grey and pi#sing down not a winter friggin wonderland. Inevitably someone's got the flu as well and they'll be sharing that with you for Xmas. Meanwhile in Thailand it's almost guaranteed to be gorgeous weather and the chances of another tsunami on boxing day are about the same as you saying something vaguely sane. It happened once. In 2003. It hadn't happened in the prior 400 years and it likely won't in the next 400. You're talking unbelievable levels of bollox. Merry Xmas 🎄🙄

As an fyi, O-Retirement visa is available in Thailand from the age of 50, not 55, as mentioned in your video. The first time you get it, it is a combination of a non O immigrant visa which is the first step in getting the o-retirement visa and is good for 3 months, then the retirement visa comes after and is a 12 month visa. Total is 15 months. Weight loss is most likely due to the reduced amount of processed food in your diet now. 👍 From a bike perspective, if you can wait to rent a bike until your retirement visa is in place, you can save money by buying a used bike for now and then trade in for the bike you want in the future as it is expensive to rent monthly due to it being high season now. Good luck. 🙏

Hi , you will find once your in the bills will be cheaper, sure you will use your aircon, but you will adjust to the heat and use it less. We are £5pm for water and £40pm electricity. Make sure it s government rate electricity price you are paying. Thats anywhere between 5 -7 baht per unit, depending on areas. Once you have opened your bank account, ask them about insurance, they all have deals. Check forums for visa agents and do your homework, IMost of all , take your time, relax into Thai life, Its wonderful, youve made the best decision to move here, take your time with the rest it doesnt have to be done in the first week. Good luck with everything, enjoy!

Hi Darren, good news, just to let you know the Retirement visa is available at 50 years not 55. You mentioned travel before, did you know the nearest island to you is Koh Larn, 30 mins on the boat from Bali Hai pier, hire a bike for 300B on arrival and tour the island, its the cheapest way. Its a lovely place to spend a day. BTW I lived in Hooper Sq E1 which I think was near your previous gaff, been here 22 years and love it! Enjoy mate!

You are literally living my plan, I’m 42 will retire at 55 In Pattaya maybe a year or 2 earlier if work goes well. When I was spending 2/3 month stints in Pattaya previously I would religiously go gym in the morning, have some breakfast ( Thai street food) lounge around the pool reading swimming relaxing . Then have a wonder mid afternoon, followed by a massage ( proper one 😂 ) as you feel great , then out for a few beers and dinner . Absolutely loved it then and can’t wait till I can do it full time. Yearly holidays for now
