Pep overplayed Rodri in his ONE system, Rodri got injured. Along side that KDB among others got old. and somehow Pep did not plan for this. Which is really odd because Pep must realize that he only has this one system, it's a VERY good system BUT it's all he's got. He relies on the quality of the players he got, those 2 billion pound players. Pep has very limited in game management, the few times he makes subs it's almost always a like for like. There is almost never any tactical reasoning behind his changes. Pep has been found out, he lost the key players of his ONE system and is now just constantly banging his head against the wall, not changing anything, not trying anything different.

They are too reliant on haaland to score goals. Relying on one player for goals in the entire team isn't sustainable in the long run. And haaland doesn't contribute to much outside the box. Their wingers (Savinho, doku and grealish now) aren't chipping in with goals anymore. At least when aguero was playing, whilst he was world class, he had Sane, sterling and mahrez contributing with goals so they weren't too reliant on him to score. That's why the city team from 2017-19 was so good
