It does feel like PVZ as a whole is on the verge of obscurity lately. It does feel like it was going strong under EA with PVZ2 and the Garden Warfare duology, but as time went on, it feels like neither EA or even PopCap have any idea where they would take this series in the future. Honestly, I hope they either bring it back up themselves or just sell the IP to another studio that can handle it with care.

I mean, pop cap was doing good, but then EA started ruining everything.(as they do with every game) What did they do? Ads. Premium stuff. currency. Remember pvz 1? It was so good. Chill, no pay 2 win, and even if there was currency, it wasent overpowered or necessary to beat the game. But EA came with pvz2 and if you didint buy stuff with money, it was basically impossible.

@@klulikxd The main thing that made it bad was the terrible Rux Battle Pass progression system that punished players that didn't have time to play the game constantly, all my friends hated the game and didn't play, the game got cancelled in just a few months which was unbelievable and the fact that the game died so quickly especially on PC. Edit: Almost forgot to mention that it was *PAY TO WIN* for the people that spent money on the free Rux Battle Pass system to buy the OP unique special character abilities such as that Scientist Steam Gun. The only good thing about it was 100% the story mode. I also enjoyed the Garden and Graveyard Ops too. Just disappointed that we have to play 5 rounds instead of 10 though. As soon as you start having fun in round 5 the fun is already over after that.

One of my favorite memories with Pvz was with Bfn. It was in a Turf Takeover map. Specifically in Goopy Gully. I was playing as Solider. At first, the plants were doing way too good. Pushing objective over objective with no issue while killing every zombie in their way. The situation was so bad, I thought we were going to lose. On the last part, however, I somehow managed to carry the last objective with less than 5% hp left. Part of it was just exploring the map and killing plants, the other half was just camping in a roof. At the end, we somehow managed to win. And not only I was the only one on podium (for some reason) and not only I won Kill Master, but I also was the best at everything in my team. Assist, revives, kills... everything. And that was when I was around 600 rank. That battle felt so good, I still have the screenshots of it. And all of it was with a mid-tier character.

But if I had to choose it would be back when my best friend and I would team up in GW1 and mess with enemy players in Gardens and Graveyards. My favorite pvz memory was Garden Warfare 1. I was playing with 2 other friends in gnome bomb in like late 2014 or something. All 3 of us were playing Marine Biologist and were all top of the board. At the very end when it zooms in on the last gnome exploding all 3 of us were lined up against the exploding garden right next to eachother staring at the screen like it was from a movie. Probably one of the coolest things that happened to me while playing.

I apologize for my poor knowledge of English, I use a translator. In 2020, I was playing with my friend in GW2, and in the match table we saw a wonderful player, it was a Russian girl (we are also from Russia, it was amazing for us to meet a girl playing in GW2 also from Russia). We met, became friends with each other and played, later our company expanded, and we played gw2 with a large crowd (although the game itself did not allow the whole company to play). But at an unpleasant moment, a thing happened that turned everything around - our friend ran out of PS plus (it happened in early September). She didn't write to us until January 2022. This had a very strong effect on the general spirit of our company, and we had fun throwing gw2, playing other games. However, we are all together now, and I am grateful to GW2 for meeting such wonderful people. Unfortunately, we all ran out of PS plus, and because of the sanctions imposed on our country, we can't play together again. But we don't give up! We started playing free games on PS, as well as Roblox and online games on phones, communicating with each other.

Gw1 was the first game other than minecraft when I got my first computer. Loved playing as the Sunflower and trying to rack up as many kills a Sunflower was capable of doing. During my childhood I was so obsessed with the game to the point where in school when we were given a project to make a small town I based it off of the Driftwood Shores map. As a kid I thought gw1 couldn’t get any better until gw2 was announced and it blew my mind back then with content such as backyard battleground, plants on the offense, graveyard ops, flag of power, and campaign. The Garden Warfare series really sparked my imagination during my childhood and beyond. To this day whenever I do anything such as growing houseplants or going out for a walk at a park it all reminds me of PvZ. I love this game and I hope that one day PvZ may return and make other people’s childhoods amazing. If any Popcap member somehow reads this, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for making a game and franchise so good that a kid can fall in love with it and later on in life proudly say “This is my childhood.”

I adore every inch of plants vs zombies (besides that atrocity from 2019) the first game was a unique gameplay concept and has enjoyable and replay able gameplay and also has mountains of charm. The second PVZ perfectly expands on the formula introducing hundreds of new plants and zombies. Garden warfare was a great first attempt at shooter games to only be perfected in garden warfare 2. Which is genuinely my favorite game of all time. It was my entire childhood, and to this day, with all it’s current issues, I still absolutely freaking adore this game from gameplay, to replay ability, to charm. Then IT came out. I hate BFN with the power of seven trillion star explosions, it is an embarrassment and forever left a scrap in this franchise which hasn’t peeped for the past almost 4 years. Besides those crappy gardenscape rip offs they made and tried to market it as a PVZ 3 I just want them to freaking listen to us. They need to put a Band aid on the scrap not pouring salt into it like they’ve been doing since BFN. I love this franchise, I always will, but I really am losing faith in it 😢

my favorite memories on GW2 are flinging people off the drill part of moon base Z with chili beans and a glitch that happened on the snow map like the ending shows the plant victory ending (yeti king crying cuz he wasn't released) and when results came on it said that zombies dominated

my favorite memory for me was when me and my friend found and ability spamming all star in gw2 and we copied his playstyle, we ran around just using abilities and suiciding for it. It was a crazy ton of fun for the both of us just trolling around.

My favorite memory of pvz is not actually one of the games but the fan animations, one being an angry birds and pvz fan collaboration animation where they use angry birds in pvz, or one where the peashooters where actual soldiers, and one where the zombies are just dancing to ganman style, I miss those memories and sometimes want to relive it.

My favorite memories of Pvz was getting introduced to gw1. I was at my then gf’s apartment & her brother was on gw1. Before this, I already knew of Pvz but never seen the garden warfare games. I got to try it & I was hooked instantly And more memories I gave is with gw2 with the friends I’ve made. There was so much of us that we could fill half of a team. But sadly some drama happened & all eventually went out separate ways. On the flip side, I’m still friends & talk with at least 4 of them. I miss the others so much & hope we can all play together again someday without drama

My favorite memory is when I was a bit younger my mum got me garden warfare 2 on the xbox one for my birthday. I was extatic because I love pvz and always have. I remember playing for ages that night and I might have stayed up longer than I should have. I honestly don't think I'll ever have an experience like that again.

I don't have any hope for a new shooter, but there is a chance that another company buys the garden warfare ip and start to work on it but that is unbelievably unlikely

I remember the time that the bfn launch trailer dropped (the one that isn’t the musical number) and I waited for what felt like ages and then watched it with my grandma and we had the time of our life, man that was great.

One of the happiest memories of my life was back on the Xbox 360. My friends all went out and bought Garden Warfare 1. they all told me to get it. My family didn't have that much money, so i begged for it. I did a whole day of lawn work ironically enough, and they bought me the game that night. Me and my friends played it for years, and it is some of the happiest gaming memories I have.

I feel like the best option for EA is to continue BFN. They had a lot of plans before cancellation, and If they worked on another garden warfare it wouldn’t do any good. People would be happy, but there isn’t much to add. garden warfare 2 really finished the warfare series. BFN is really adaptable, without character classes and having similar playstyles to other games like overwatch, but more unique. I hope EA makes the right decision, or else I can’t wait to see EA fail as a company for how dastardly greedy they are.

Pvz has literally been my favourite series since I was 5 I’ve beaten pvz 1 on console, pc and Nintendo switch Finished tall the worlds in pvz 2 Got every character in garden warfare 1 Reached max rank in garden warfare 2 Got to ultimate champion in heroes And even got every character to master in bfn (this one was rough tho lol) There hasn’t been a single pvz title I haven’t enjoyed, and it’s so sad to see how popcap is seemingly complicit in its downfall. If they truly cared, they’d stop trying to reinvent the wheel with every recent title and actually keep their player base updated. It’s like they don’t even think pvz fans are a thing.

My favorite part has always been the strategizing and customization, I have always been a Battlefield fan since PS2 days however putting it's scoring system into a fictional world has always had a strong appeal, still enjoying BFN my only critic is that I believe it was released to soon and could've waited a year, sorely missing a new addition to the title or at the very least a surprise update to BFN. What scares me the most is it is only a matter of when not if would EA decide to pull servers from the games given lack of production and lack of security patches.
