Had the privilege of driving this car, it was a 1937 in the exact color. Only thing to get used to is the lack of synchromesh

Wonderful car , my Grandparents drove from Scotland to the U boat pens in France just after the war. No problems then back to Scotland.

To be fair what's not to like ! I didn't catch how old but l'd guess 1937 so it's more or less 85 years old ! So it's in excellent condition . Join or subscribe to an Austin Vintage Club you'll get lots of help and advise i.e. the roof . The bodywork is excellent , the interior is likewise and l'm sure the mechanical work is pretty straightforward. I'd leave the fog lamp on and remove , but keep , the headlamp shade . They were fitted in the war to prevent light shining skywards and being seen by the enemy, Captain Mainwaring ! They were totally inadequate !
