What Helmet Comms Do We Use? - Kask Super Plasma and Installation Tips

Please, can you share the link of the comms products? Or write the names. I want to modify just like this one MSA v-gard H1. I am working as engineer onboard vessel and i need one not so tall and lightweight helmet with comms. Thank you in advance! Btw, enjoyed the video!

You are correct! In most industry standards that is the case. However, arboriculture doesn't have a designated helmet color code system like engineering or manufacturing. We've debated back and forth on color coding helmets 😅

@@sirensproject I remember being an engineer on a worksite, wearing an orange helmet, because that' was the 1st helmet I got when I started. And there was a yard worker with a white helmet. When people would come to the site to visit, they'd always walk past me and go straight to him and without asking a question, they'd start talking away and asking questions. When they'd finally give him a chance to speak, he'd redirect them to me. I'd always laugh at this, because it can all be avoided with a simple question. Eventually when the yard mandated color code, I recall one guy who was a clerk getting upset, because he wore a white helmet and was given a green one, which was a downgrade. 🤣 Giving me a white helmet was always a bad idea, because I'd draw a ton of stuff on it when I'm bored.

@@ItachiUchiha-ff5yb 🤣 At least you knew which helmet was yours! That is funny. We originally went with blue helmets simply because blue is our "color" for the organization. However, we now have a need for a little more worksite differentiation. What type of engineer were you? I'm mechanical by education and some how fell into arboriculture 🤣.

Hey! I’m honestly not sure, as I’ve never seen a fake one. It is best to order the helmets from a reputable dealer! We bought ours from Treestuff.com.

The moment you modify any PPE (drilling holes, cutting a piece off, etc.) you basically render it useless and unacceptable. I learned this the hard way. :(

Unfortunately, to my knowledge, Cardo, Sena, etc do not offer a wireless headset solution yet. Hopefully that will change in the future. We absolutely do not modify the helmet portion in any way for that exact reason. We have also since 3D printed our mic mounts. The adhesive would fail overtime. Really appreciate the comments!
