1:11 ok not to get weirdly scientific about this but I'm pretty sure according to evolutionary research as (straight) men age they start looking for (female) mates with strong secondary sex characteristics, and that would include fuller, larger hips that would indicate that the woman could handle bearing kids well which is why I think a lot of men into their late 20s and above really have a thing for nicely shaped asses and thick thighs

It's also changing beauty standards. In the 90s and 00s all men cared about were super skinny women. What you said is true, but we are also unconsciously influenced by society's standards, and if you only see extremely skinny women in movies, ads, etc, you're gonna subconsciously be more into that body type. While nowadays the Kardashians and the fitness influencers who exercise have larger hips/butts, we see a lot of that body type on social media and are more or less willingly influenced by that, so OF COURSE the pear body type is more popular nowadays (in the West anyways)
@JolieGirl20023 жыл бұрын
@@lauragoreni3020 right, of course, the heroin chic look was rampant and had an undeniable influence. if you look at celebrities in korea they're still expected to be stick thin and horribly underweight and any female idol above 52 kgs, regardless of her height, is considered fat, but non-celeb women are allowed to have more curvier shapes.

He’s actually showing how people can have preference. In this case, he said that every type is attractive (he’s a straight man alright), but he prefers x over y. The images at the end weren't illustrated the best to show off the different body types. The hourglass one barely looked like hourglass because her chest wasn't pronounced at all. The way the Pear shape was posed, made her look more hourglass than the hourglass lol.

I like how the topic is body figures and people immediately bring in weight and regions etc…like can we for once watch a video without overanalysing everything?!

@@khushbuyadav8542 I guess you know your body best 🌸💜. It’s just another feature of hourglass are wider shoulders than pear so I’m struggling to imagine how you could be in between having wide shoulders … and small shoulders. We used to say you were hourglass if your shoulders were as wide as your hips but your waist was small (like an X )

@@glcnornes3783 my hip measurements are a couple cm more then the bust measurements that makes me a pear. but i have wide shoulders so it balances out my hips and so i don’t look that much of a pear.

I'm insanely insecure about my body shape. I have a pear shape but growing up kids used to make fun of me for it so I'm really insecure but watching this gave me a bit of confidence. Just a bit lol

I clicked on this video to see what a banana shape was more than wanting to know what hip size Korean men prefer cause I never knew banana was a body type nor knew strawberry shape existed too. All thats missing from the list is my body shape, a potato..😂😂

I have a pear shape body my lower body is bigger than my upper body I was born that way and plus I feel proud of myself and sometimes it can get a little annoying for me because I have to find clothes that fit my lower body more than my upper body

Did anyone else notice in the graphic of types there was a complete lack of chest on all the ones in the graphic except for the pear shape? It just seemed really weird. Also, please remember you are beautiful no matter what your shape is. Due to a year of quarantine we have gotten used to only seeing people looking their best through zoom and social media. Remember people don't look the way they seem. Even without makeup of best clothing/ lightning, how they are presented through a lens isn't the same as you would necessarily view them in person. Love yourself , you're beautiful.💙
