We walk through a small 1 acre pioneer cemetery that contains roughly some of my wife's relatives. This is the County Line Cemetery, also known as (Immanuel German Congregational Cemetery) on Davis road in Lincoln County, WA. We also see the Immanuel German Congregational Church built in the early 1900s (German Congregational Church of Packard) that is privately owned and still stands on the Amen family farmstead just south on the same road.
I became interested in what was known of the people in this quiet little pioneer cemetery during our visits. Its condition suggests only occasional visits and only one recent burial. To my great surprise, records still existed. For some, these are the only memories that remain to tell their story. Special thanks to Marjorie Womach and the other people who researched this information and made it readily avaiable.
