Honestly Julia I am impressed by you. The fact dat you dare to be all versions of yourself on the internet even if they are versions of you that are passing by, as they all do in our twenties, and we maybe don’t like when we look back on it. And endure all of the comments and opinions about it makes you a really strong person, even if it doesn’t feel like it. I am sorry if people are nasty to you and I hope that you know that I find comfort and peace in your video’s and I hope that you have loving friends that take care of you and listen to you.

It's so refreshing to see how honest you are being with yourself. I have no doubt that you will figure things out. Not being honest with yourself and always chasing others thoughts/ideas and trying to fit in can lead down some heartbreaking roads. You are an individual and only you know yourself. Much love on your journey. You are on the right track! Thanks for sharing some of your life with us.

Hey Julia. Life is YOUR experience so do what feels right. When I was in high school I went to a restaurant that only served certain fish due to overfishing. This was back in 1986. That opened my eyes to toxicity and overfishing in the oceans. So I only ate trout for a while. Eventually I stopped eating all fish and was eating organic 18 and only used organic body care. At 28, I went vegan and was going to the gym. I wasn’t tracking my food for a bit and turned grey and exhausted. I ate a burger and felt amazingly better. I mostly ate vegan but ate eggs and I usually do even now, 25 years later. If I want some grilled chicken in a salad, I eat it. I find that when I eat meat daily, I want meat daily, so I try to only eat it when I feel my body is asking for it. I have never been into dairy products but do eat some cheeses like feta and mozzarella, parmesan, etc. Do what feels right to your body and keep making adjustments as necessary. Your health is your business only.

Girl I was vegan for 6 years and in 2021 I decided to start incorporating animal based foods back into my diet little by little. It was the BEST thing I ever did. For health reasons and for my relationship with food. Food restriction in anyway can cause disordered eating and you should nutritious your body with whatever you need and not worry about what strangers on the internet think

Yes you are so correct. I felt so much shame for having these feelings of cravings eggs and salmon. When I tried salmon I was like hey it was good I tried it but I dont feel like it needs to be a part of my life again. I hadn't had fish or meat for 15 years until this year. It was very scary but I'm so proud of myself for tying it. Now I'm trying to be braver and incorporate some eggs into my diet and I feel very much freeing and my brain feels happy when I have them wirh avocado and toast

I think as humans, we have a tendency to defend and justify whatever we are currently practicing in our daily life, whether it be food, fitness, meditation, prayer, etc. The reality is that you will always have critics. There may be valid reasons one lifestyle didn't "work" for someone, yet was healing for someone else. I found a whole food plant based diet when I was seeking to heal from hormone imbalances and gut issues that I experienced since my teen years. It has been the best thing I ever did for myself. Adopting a new way of eating does require intention around planning meals and really learning about nutrition and what your body requires. Oftentimes, those who feel "ill" as a result of adopting a Vegan diet were not going about it in a balanced way and possibly needed to incorporate different foods, eliminate processed vegan junk foods, or take supplements. That said, you do you. I am happy for those who find that animal products in moderation works for them. They didn't for me. I love this channel and Julia because she practices authenticity and vulnerability and isn't trying to be "perfect". ❤

Oh my gosh, I have followed you forever & cheered n cried w you simultaneity. This episode is beautiful, it is about healing, about the food, and the struggle. It ultimately comes down to that nature/nuture of how you really feel about yourself that effects you day to day transitions. You, we, I are all amazing creatures.....lets just figure & navigate the best way to survive. Life is beautiful & challenging but it also give you opportunities to experience circumstances that many people could never have the fortunate possibility to experience... I love you & keep loving your self since we all do.

I know you've spoken a bit about your struggles with acne. Part of why I am hesitant to reintroduce dairy into my diet is because I have worried it will cause breakouts. Was this a fear for you too?
@kecrn4132Ай бұрын
You have to eat/drink dairy in huge quantities for it to affect acne…. According to a few dermatologists I know.

Funny how you’re heading away from being vegan and I’ve been heading towards it. I’ve lived most of my life eating meat, lots of eggs, and barbecues. I became lactose intolerant eventually and had to switch to non dairy milk.

I love watching your videos! I’m 41 and I’ve learned so much from you about self love and not being concerned about what others think. I’m not vegan but I do identify as plant based (I don’t eat meat and eggs, but will have some cheese/dairy items occasionally. NEVER MILK or EGGS only because I’m allergic) and I love seeing how you keep it so simple but so delicious. Also I’m curious have you had any meat products since you have switched? If so how did you feel physically? How did the seafood make you feel? I don’t plant to eat meat BUT when I’m on vacation we always have the most amazing seafood night and I really miss crab. I’m just scared I will get physically ill from it. I haven’t had meat or any kind in 4.5 yrs.

I watched the whole video, I think she was on a "vegan diet" because of her eating disorder and scared of being judged (like what people have done to her in another video). She mentioned that she was also trying to be perfect to earn love. btw, it's just my comprehension after watching the video. If I took it wrong, I am sorry Julia.

Didn't want to say before because you loved your last place so much but I HATED, HATED, HATED, HATED, HATED, HATED, HATED, HATED, did I say HATED...your last place! This place is already sooooo much better. Lighting, counter, camera position so we can see what you are doing...the white...yes! HOW DO YOU LIKE THIS NEW PLACE? You haven't said. What about your passport? You were explaining all the drama about and your possible decisions then we heard nothing...what have you decided? Back to Canada for maple syrup? How long are you now able to stay in South Africa? Remember, you are actually living the DREAM that so many wish they could do...remember that when you want to start feeling down...not that anything is wrong with that too. :)

If you put 1 tbps of olive oil in a stainless steel pan and let the pan and oil heat up and spread around before cooking. You can crack an egg in and cook it with next to no sticking. The heat instantly seals the bottom preventing sticking.
