I imagine the tiramisù was better because it was actually made with mascarpone cheese. Many are not, even though they should be. They do this in order to make it faster and keep the cost lower.

That Italian mosquito bite is something you should watch out for. If it doesn’t subside with OTC treatment, better consult the doctor. My mom had a similar situation.

Gabie, I just watched your endometrioses and pregnancy journey videos and want to tell you in case your doctors didn’t. Endometrioses is partially an inflammatory disease. Which means it progresses when your inflammation level is high. Lowering inflammation also helps to decrease the symptoms and even the size of endometriomas in some cases. And the general advice to lower the inflammation is to stop eating dairy, gluten, soy and sugar. Insulin also increases inflammation, so eating snacks throughout the day is not the best thing. I just want to mention it because often doctors don’t tell their patients at all about the diet changes and the potential risk of eating the mentioned foods. I have endometriosis myself and have been reading a lot of research papers + listening to doctors from different countries. When it comes to medicine, Visanne (progestin pills) is the main drug for today (research shows that it works better than contraceptives). You can’t takes it when planning pregnancy but when you’re not, that’s the best option I guess. I even saw stories of women who could’t get pregnant but succeeded after changing the diet because the endometrioses shrank and stopped blocking the tubes. Just wanted to share ❤

I spent a semester in Florence, decades ago. I, too, was bitten by a mosquito and had an itchy, terrible, swolen bite for a good 6 weeks. I might have had another bite or two before I left, but since then, I've NEVER had any mosquito bite reaction (bite, I'm not sure and I live in Chicago). Hopefully, this is what happens for you going forward!
