I’m a San Diegan, born and raised. I went to the Bay Area for undergrad and London for grad school. I came back to San Diego to live my life after living in those places. It’s great. Food is obviously amazing. The weather isn’t bad haha, plus within 2 hours you can be in the snow during the winter, the desert, the beach, LA, or Mexico.

I'm from San Diego and the OB People's Co Op is the most wonderful community space. My parents used to go there when they were teenagers. I can't tell you how much it warmed my heart to see you stop by. I've gotten so many salads there and eaten them by the pier. Honest little taste of home dude thank you.

I visited to San Diego in March and took my family to Donna Jean’s and we all also thought it was the best food ever! We even got 2 orders of the hot shrooms too- amaaaazing! Glad to see you loved it too!

All of this food looks AMAZING!! I also purchased your cook book from Costco last week! My kids are so excited to make the recipes with me. The brownies were to die for!! Not too sweet & so delicious. The black bean taquitos...mm! We’re going to make the pulled “pork” sandwiches & the mac’n’cheese next week. I made the nacho cheese sauce, and it was *so* off in flavour. It was way too tangy . I was so disappointed. But I will only add like 1 slice of pickled jalapeño next time and see how it turns out. I still have high hopes! I am determined!! Haha.

My boyfriend and I went to Ramen Hood and Chango Coffee! We had the best time. Both places were fabulous! And the vegan croissants from Chango Coffee are the best!!

I've seen and had very similar (if not the same) vegan fried eggs from chinese grocery stores! and there's a brand called A&T that makes vegan bacon that are freakishly real with the marbling and everything like that too. if you can find them you should totally try them :)

Lauren Toyota that’s what my sister, who is a bartender (and also vegan) has told me! Specifically the Gruppo Campari though, so I would double check that is the Campari they are using! Not too sure about other ones

Stephanie Turner seconded on kindred! If you like Thai then Plumeria is awesome. For Italian, Cívico 1845 which also has non veg options. Mexican would be Pokez or Rancho Cocina. Also non veg options if you are traveling with non vegans.
