This is awesome Tom, such good advice. It reminds me of the quote "when preparation meets opportunity". You also need patience when you are you are preparing your gear, and not rushing to get in the surf for fear of missing the moment.

Been a photographer filmmaker for 20years.. but never for myself.. this year I decided to take the plunge and do it for myself.. I’ve surfed all my life and live in the Eastern Cape, South Africa on the doorstep of JBay, Bruce’s Beauties and countless insane beach breaks.. it was a no brainer for me to combined all my passions and present to the world.. the last 6 months has blown my mind.. glad I came across you channel!!
